"I'm surprised you are standing Katsuki. When people damage most of their brain and bodies they're usually unable to bounce back. But you'll need to visit us everyday for the next two weeks. Here is the contact information for your physical therapy. Other than that, you'll be good to go," The doctor said handing a few forms to Katsuki's mom which Bakugou read from over her shoulder as she filled them out.

"You know my son. Always proving people wrong. When he came home yesterday night with his friends standing there at the doorway you don't know how excited I was. My son who had been declared broken could actually stand. Just him being a brat I suppose. Just being the stubborn kid that he is. Just like his mom," Mitsuki said as she slapped the kid across the back of the head lightly.

"You gave me a scare brat. When you came home with your friends in such a hurry. Your teachers were worried about you too. Though you were caught again. Don't do that to me or your father again. Do you hear me?" Mitsuki asked and Bakugou just rolled his eyes and nodded.

Soon the doctor walked out and left Mitsuki to her son. Bakugou was just looking down at the floor. Just kicking kid legs back and forth with an off distance look on his face. Mitsuki didn't say anything to her son. Not really minding the silence the boy was giving her.

Soon Mitsuki filled out everything and they were released. Katsuki watched out the window without a word out the window as they drove through the city. Mitsuki has a ping off worry blossom in her chest but she pushed it down for when they got home. That time came faster than she thought went they started to pull up to their driveway.

"Alright brat let's go. I'll go make you your favorite spicy food. Your dad is busy tonight so it'll just be me and you," Mitsuki said as she kicked the door open just to get another hum as a response.

Soon they were both in the house. A weird silence filling the occupied house. Katsuki was sitting at the dining table with Mitsuki finishing up the rest of the food. Mitsuki has her back faced to her son but then felt a shift in the room's atmosphere. She turned around to see her son's face shoved into his hands.

"Mom... Am I a bad person?" The words came from Katsuki's mouth like a waterfall.

Mitsuki knew the boy was serious. Katsuki's red eyes were closed over with this unknown sadness. His posture was lazy and his eyes were fixed on the table. He wasn't willing to look up at anything. She hadn't heard him talk all day. The boy barely called his own mother by a respectable name. His words had no bite. No 'old hag' or curse words. Just a son and his mother.

"Katsuki? What are you talking about? Where did this come from?" Mitsuki asked as she turned around and started walking towards her son sitting at the table.

"I know that I've changed. But I don't I have completely. People keep telling me I behave more like a villain than a true hero. They even said my quirk would fit a villain. Like the quirk would do something other than save people's lives. But I know that I'm stubborn and I'm all in all a turbulent person. Does that make me less heroic than others?" Bakugou asked tears escaping from his blood shot eyes as his body started to shake.

Mitsuki was taken aback. It wasn't everyday that her son was self conscious. He never really was. Mitsuki let out a sigh and sat down at the table next to her son. She let her hand gently rest on the boy's shoulder making him look up a bit. Yet the boy's eyes refused to meet hers.

"Well, of course you're stubborn. You're my son after all. But you're much smarter, braver, and stronger than those people think. You're headstrong and you have a heart of goal even if you don't show it. You're a good friend and a good son. Even a good student. They're wrong about you Katsuki. They are so wrong about you," Mitsuki said and Bakugou just sniffled.

"But what if they aren't wrong? What if all I'll ever be is a hard headed monster who is out to hurt people? I don't want to be that mom. But my quirk makes me that way. What if I can't change?" Bakugou asked making Mitsuki let out a sigh as she brushed the boy's blond bangs from his face.

"Look, a quirk doesn't define you as a person. Fire doesn't have to destroy is used the right way. Only the way you use it will show your true intentions. You could have chosen a whole mother way to use your talent. But I'm the end you decided to become a hero. All Might's presence has been guiding all this way. Everything you've achieved so far? You did that all on your own," Mitsuki countered and Katsuki let out a sigh finally letting his eyes meet his mother's.

Yet he didn't say a word. Just looked at her. Trying to find any clue that his mom was lying. Yet he didn't find any. What his mother was saying was the honest truth. It made his spirits lift a bit as he became happier.

"You'll meet more of those assholes when you reach the top. But don't let others' opinions change who you are. You yourself know who you really are. You know what your goal is. What you are aiming for. What your true intentions are. You've decided who you are years ago. Just please always have this in mind," Mitsuki said as she pulled her son into a hug.

"You'll always be my hero," She finished as she squeezed her son tightly.

"Thanks mom,"

"Anything for you Katsuki,"

"Love you mom,"

"I love you too,"
