kairi woke up with everyone sleeping around him. everyone but mattia and his friends. although he noticed a light in the corner, he brushed it off and checked the time. his eyes grew wider and he choked on his own saliva. it was already 1pm, and they were 30 minutes away from missing their train back home.  he woke everyone up hurriedly. as he was packing everything up the same light caught his eye. he looked over and saw a phone. "who left their phone in the corner?" alvaro asked, noticing it aswell. apparently he wasn't as interested and walked out with the other guys. kai picked up the phone and read the instagram notifications on the lockscreen.

"(mattiapolibio): hheecctorr: r u awake yet???"
"(mattiapolibio): hheecctorr: hellllooooo????"

kairi's stomach turned, finding that he just found mattia's phone. what the fuck was he going to do with this thing? he ran outside after the rest of his friends. they caught a taxi and the 4 boys squished into the back seat, with roshaun in the front. kairi could've sworn he saw mattia trying to wave down a taxi. he laughed at the silly thought.

they all tried to run as fast as they could, nearly missing the train. kairi practically groaned when he saw mattia and his friends sitting and sleeping in the corner of the train cart they entered already. kairi grabbed a sticky note from roberts bag, as the new school year is about to start, and wrote down:

"hey, it's the kid who beat u up last night. i saw u on the train sleeping and found ur phone in the library after i woke up. text me. -@.kairicosentino"

he stuck it to the back of mattia's phone and carefully placed it in his hoodie pocket.

kairi had absolutely no idea what he was getting himself into.
