YASUO
We travelled by horse in order to get to the supreme's kyūden much quicker. By the time we arrived, it was already noon of the next day.
A young keshin in a pink yukata stood waiting at the gates of the kyūden, as if she was expecting our arrival.
"Haru-kun!" She called out, and ran over to Haruki's side. I looked at her as she bowed down to me.
"Good day, Yasuo-sama. I am Sakura, a tree keshin, and Haruki's twin sister." She said in a very polite manner. She seemed cheerful like her brother, and I did notice from earlier that they looked very similar. I smiled at her and bowed back.
"I am Yasuo, a *Suimin keshin." I said to her, returning her polite gesture.
"The supreme has been waiting for both of you, I hear that the team that will go on the mission needs to be decided as soon as possible. It seems like a really urgent matter. So I think you should go and meet him right away, follow me." She told us.She pulled her brother to her side and the two of them walked ahead of me. Like two children, they laughed and whispered together.
"Is it really him, the one in the legend of cutting hair?" She whispered quite audibly to her brother.
"Shhh-HAHAHA YES! I saw it with my own eyes!" He responded, as if I couldn't hear both of them.
"Hey, that's not fair, Haruki! Oh, I should've gone with you! I wanted to see it, too!"
"See what, this?" I asked, nonchalantly as I held up the tail of hair that I took with me. The color of dark raven glistened under the golden hour's light. The two tree keshins stared in awe, as if they were staring at a relic. I stuffed the material back inside the satchel that I brought.
"I can't believe it's actually real." Sakura exclaimed, wide-eyed.
"Y-Yasuo do you bring that with you everywhere? That's kind of weird." Haruki said with a grimace. I let out a chuckle.
"No, as a matter of fact, I don't. I just figured that tracking the horizon keshin will be much easier if we have something that belongs to her. With the help of Yōgan-sama's *Akuma Ryōken, we might have a high chance of finding her, that is, if she is still in *Tendō."
"She is still in Tendō." Said a female voice from behind. I turned around, and quickly bowed as I saw where the voice came from. The two tree keshins followed my gesture as Reiko, the lovely one, approached us.
