An hour passed before we reached the Helicarrier. When we landed and I got out I was greeted by my best friend. "Finally! I have been waiting up here for ages!" I was just about to say something when a flash of light blinded me. "Finally he came with our new recruit." Fury said relieved. A man with blonde hair and silver armor with a red cape. He was with a girl with short black hair that was pulled back and wearing a tank top and running shorts. She had grey eyes. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. She seemed too suspicious. The blonde haired man broke my concentration. "Who is he? Is he the one Steve has been crying about?" I looked at Fury and he nodded. "Pleasure to meet you. I am Thor." He held his hand out and I shook it. "Good grip. Almost too good." I made him wince by a handshake and smiled at it.
I looked over Thor's shoulder and saw a man with curly brown hair and glasses. He was holding a book. He looked up at me and than looked back down at his book and shuffled off. Fury looked in that direction. "Bruce! Get your butt over here!" Fury said. Bruce listened and walked over. "Yes Fury?" He asked in a very geeky voice. I winced when I heard it. He looked from me to Fury. I looked away and noticed I was being stared at by the girl Thor brought with him. "Thor." I said suddenly. When he turned towards me I finished. "Who is that?" He looked to where I was pointing. "She is Lilly Angel." I nodded and looked away. I grabbed the case. Thor saw it. "Let me carry that." I looked at him. "If you can." He laughed a hearty laugh and gripped it. It fell down right as soon as I let go. "What is in here?" I shrugged and opened it revealing the shield and sword. I suddenly noticed the hidden compartment. "Tony... Get over here." Tony hopped over. "Yes?" He asked bending down. I grabbed his jaw and pulled him closer. "What is in here?" I said as I pointed to the hidden compartment. "Look for yourself!" He said smiling widly. I sighed and opened it. I looked at it closely. "This is... This is..." I couldn't say the word suddenly. "What you wanted a few years ago?" He asked still smiling. I nodded and quickly put it back. "Thanks! You truely are my best friend!" WIth that we were laughing and goofing off. At some point I had him in a head lock.
Tony and I were sharing a room. "This is great! Just like old times!" Was all Tony said before we went to our new room. I noticed it was split in two by a sliding wall. I smiled and chose my side. It was farthest away from the other's. Tony didn't care how close he was to the other's who were with them. I looked at the wall that our beds were against. It was just glass. I shivered at the sight of the sky and moved the bed farther away. Tony looked at me and just shrugged it off. A moment later we both heard a knock at the door. "Come on in!" Tony said beating me to say anything. Next thing I knew the other Tony from the tower had walked in. It was strange. They looked just like eachother except that one was young and the other was somewhat old. I laughed a little. They looked at me confused for a moment than continued on. "Hey! Got you something!" Older Tony said. Younger Tony looked at him. "What'd you get me?" He asked curiously. Older Tony smiled. "Your very own... Weapon!" Young Tony clapped, stomped his foot while punching the air, and ran over. "I love you dad!" He said hugging Older Tony. My jaw dropped at that.
They stared at me. "You ok Sam?" Younger Tony asked. I nodded and walked toward them. "Yeah just a little surprised somehow." They both laughed a little. "I see." Was all they said together. Before anyone uttered another word a woman walked in. She had auburn hair and green eyes and was wearing a black suit. "Sam and To...." She looked at the two Tony's. "Little Tony we need to make a nickname for you." He thought for a moment. "How about T-Man?" He said just like his father would. The girl nodded. "Fine. Come with me. Sam bring your weapons." I quickly grabbed them and ran to her. T-Man was following closely to me. She started to walk. "Sam my name is Natasha. I am here to help you with your training." I sighed and looked around. I saw Lilly was in a room with a strange looking man. I just shrugged it off and continued walking. I looked over and saw that my best friend was staring at Natasha and not in the best way. "Dude! Stop!" I said in a harsh whisper. He looked at me and chuckled. "I can't help it! My dad told me to stare at what looks nice!" I just rolled my eyes and continued walking.
Natasha stopped us at a room with no windows, except for the wall that faced outside, or mirrors. "This room is for your training Sam." Was all she said before she hurried off to T-Man's room. She let him in and before she shut the door, she mouthed something quickly but noticed I was watching. She came over and stared at my dark brown eyes quickly. "Good luck." I nodded a thanks and walked in. She locked the door behind me. I picked up my sword and shield. My sword I grabbed with my hand upside down and held my shield like I was defending myself without it. I walked closer to the dummy in the center of the room. The first few strikes were too easy. As I went on with my training it gradually became harder and harder. The dummy seemed to grow as well. It started to become more human like and it seemed to move at points. Near the end I was holding the sword against its kneck.
Right before I slit the throat of the dummy the door flew open. I stayed in my position and stared at the door. Steve walked in clapping. "Good job." Was all he said before I relaxed. I twisted my sword in my hand and let the shield hang at my side as it attached to my arm by the straps. I wasn't out of breathe which shocked him the most. I smiled and sighed. "I'm going to clean myself up." Was all I said before dropping my weapons outside the training room. I started to run to my room to finish the training. I stretched my arms after my run and opened the door. T-Man was in there passed out. I laughed when I saw him. His head and arms were on the floor while the rest of him was on the bed. I threw a blanket over him before I went ot shower. I grabbed a navy blue tanktop and some black pajama pants. I quickly walked over to the bathroom and locked the door. I sighed as I turned the water on. I looked at my arms and realized the scars from long ago were wanting to reopen. I looked away from them and undressed. I only took 5 minutes to clean myself up from training. I guess I will have to start wearing hoodies again. Was all I could think about with my scars. I dried myself off and got dressed. I made sure my hair wasn't dripping wet and let it air dry the rest of the way. I fed and watered Natasha and Sira before lying in bed and falling asleep.
When I fell asleep I fell into an instant deep sleep. My dream contained the memory of how I got my scars. I was sitting with the mother I knew my whole life, well at least remembered. Next thing I knew my so-called dad came in drunk and knocked her out. I went to help her when he grabbed me by my shirt and held me down. This man was impossible for me to move at the time because I didn't have my strength yet. I was staring at his face when I felt a sharp pain in my left arm. He was cutting it anyway he could. He did that to the other one. I heard a woman scream and glanced over to see the neighbor running to get her cellphone. She called 911. He luckily missed my main veins but I was still taken to the hospital. I darted away in a dead sweat and tears streaming down my face. My wounds had opened up while I slept. I just stared at the blood flowing from them. T-Man had awoken a few minutes earlier and noticed me in a panic. He hurried over and checked my arms. "Not again." Was all he muttered before taking care of them. I felt dizzy and light headed. "I'm going to get someone!" He said. Before I could object, he was out the door. A few minutes later Natasha, Steve and Bruce were in there. I closed my eyes and let them look at my wounds. "Alright we need to get him to the infirmary. He is loosing too much blood." I knew it was Natasha. I didn't know who picked me up and carried me out but we were in the infirmary in no time.
A week had passed since my scars opened up. I had stitches on them to make sure they wouldn't open for a while. I thanked everyone a million times for stitching his wounds. He hugged them quickly before his stitches became irritated. "Remember, no training until your wounds are completely healed." Steve had said that extremely father-like. I looked at him and smiled. "I won't train until than!" with that I was told to help out with basic things like paperwork, moving light boxes, and locating targets. At the end of the week I went in to have a check up. Bruce examined them closely. "Looking good. I think that we can remove them in about a week or two." I smiled brightly at that. "Thank's Bruce!" Next thing I heard was T-Man in the room. "The nerdy doctor just doesn't want you hurt." I sighed. He was in a bad mood that day. "Alright, just go outside of here and we shall talk T-Man." I said before getting off the examining table. I noticed Lilly was in the room with the man again. I walked passed T-Man and went to the room's door. I walked in quietly and started to listen to the conversation but was lost. I accidently hit a button that set something in the room off. Lilly and the man looked at me.
