Chapter two
You walked inside a room, you took the room in. The room a huge. It was something you'd never dreamed of having. The floor was white marble and the walls were white with black accents on the walls. The bed sheets were black with golden details on it. There was white leather sofas next to the black marble fireplace. There was even a balcony. The ceiling was so high up just looking up at it sent you giddy. The room had a huge en suite and you were running around the place like a little kid. You had got caught up in being so amazed by the room you had forgotten you probably weren't going to see your family again. You came back down from your happy high as Dimitri was chuckling at you.
"What?" You asked, he shook his head grinning. You raised your eyebrow at him, "What's so funny?"
"Nothing it's just you. You're running around the place like a little kid in a sweet shop." He laughed at you. You sighed realising you shouldn't be happy about this place. He caught on and composed himself quickly. He walked over to a door and beckoned his head to the side silently asking you to follow. Curiosity got the better of you and you did as he asked. You walked over to him and he opened the door allowing you to walk inside. Once you did you were running around again. It was a walk in wardrobe with mirrors at the end and a stool for you to stand on when trying on dresses so they wouldn't crease.
You looked back at Dimitri, he was leaning on the door frame just watching you. It was just now you had decided to take in his features. He had brown short hair and his eyes were a deep green. His jawline was sharp and he was tall, but strong as you found out. He had been wearing a trenchcoat when collecting you but he had took it off whilst you and the king had spoke privately. He was now wearing a tail coat that was a shade of deep green just like his eyes, a white blouse and green tie that matched the coat. He was wearing black pantaloons and black shoes. He noticed you staring and cleared his throat.
"Oh! Sorry... I was just thinking." You apologised to him and then made a funny look that was directed to yourself. You shook it away as he started speaking.
"If it's possible would you be able to forget the side of me that I had to show you at your house? We have to act that way, the King wants to be feared and respected. Therefore, we have to act tough even if it's not how we would usually act.. I'm sorry for grabbing you the way I did. I've bruised you." He explained and it shocked you. It wasn't the shock of him telling you he bruised you, it was the shock of a vampire apologising to a human.
"Why are you apologising?" You asked him, he had an ulterior motive. He had to have one.
"I never act that way to anyone. It's just my job that makes me. I don't like seeing maidens like you scared or hurt. Humans or vampires, I see us both as living beings." He spoke like a human and a vampire noble... Just who is this guy really?
"You've got an ulterior motive... You're just saying this, you don't mean it."
"Yes I do mean it, if you don't believe me then let me convince you somehow," he paused for a second. "Think of anything you want, I'll get it for you. You don't have to request it right away, but if you-"
"My home. I want my family." You told him. He sighed and nodded. You looked at him curiously as to why he nodded but shook it off. You just wanted to be alone for a while.
Dimitri walked inside the walk in wardrobe and walked towards where the dresses were, "These are all yours. Everything in here are yours. You need to get changed into one of them. His majesty will come by soon to see you. Right now he is attending urgent business with other Lords and Royals." He told you but you didnt want to get changed. You liked your normal clothes too much.
"Other Lords and Royals?"
"Yes, he isn't the only Vampire King. There are others."
"Oh... Uhm, I'm not changing."
