Step. Two, three, four. Spin, jump.
The girl was replaying the song in her head, repeating movements she already mastered. It was a dance to one of her favorite songs that she learned around two or three years ago.
Who knew that one day she would perform it under such circumstances.
As soon as she finished she heard loud clanging. Antonina turned to see Knockout slowly applausing.
- Well, that wasn't half bad, - he commented.
- Thank you.
- Soundwave, is this why you brought her here? - Breakdown asked.
- __That wasn't half bad___, - Tonya heard Knockout's voice.
So this is how Soundwave communicated with others. It somehow reminded her of one comic book she read before. The girl there also could only speak using other's voices.
The bot petted her head with his digit. She still felt kind of wierd about all this. He seems like someone very important, but still took her just to see her dancing? Maybe, the other two were right and he just needed her for some information...
- So, what exactly was that? - Breakdown asked.
- That was a dance called ballet, - Antonina answered.
- And... does every human know how to do this?
- No. This kind of dance is actually pretty hard, - the girl rubbed the back of her head flustered, - I've been studying it in a special academy for several years.
- So you have academies for this? - the bot laughed, - We had only two kinds of academies on Cybertron. For warriors and for medics.
- Earth is peaceful now. Well, more or less. So people can choose between military, science or art studying.
Tonya took off her pointes and put them back in her training bag. Breakdown looked like he wanted to ask something else, but Knockout got a call on his communicator, after witch two bots left and she was left alone with Soundwave again.
She felt really awkward alone with him. Not that she didn't like silence, she did. Even when she was alone quiet with her roommate she felt quite comfortable. But now was different. Completely different.
The girl felt her stomach starting to hurt. All she had eaten since she arrived at this place several hours ago was an energy bar. She also felt very sleepy. She took her phone out of the bag to see it was almost midnight. Well, best cure for hunger is some sleep.
- Um... excuse me, Soundwave? - she called him, he turned his head, - Is there any place where I can sleep?
He nodded holding out his servo. The girl grabbed her bag and climbed on it as the bot walked out of the room. Outside of it were large long hallways with dozens of doors. As they walked some other robots whose faces were covered by masks passed them by, greeting Soundwave with a bow. They didn't ask anything about a human he had with him. Probably they were too afraid to mess with him since he had a lot higher rank than them. The bot stopped in front of one of the doors, typed a password into glowing control pad, and the door opened.
There was a room with a large metal bed, a desk and a chair. There was also a container in the corner and several drawers in the wall. Soundwave put Antonina on the desk. She thanked him and pulled a small mat out of her bag. Too bad that she didn't have any blanket, but it's still better than nothing. After she laid down, the bot left the room and turned off the light leaving the girl alone.
There was still a lot of work. Recently Dreadwing had found a Cybertronean data carrier with encoded information that Soundwave needed to decode. By what he got now he could know that there were some coordinates. Possibly, another relic location. Unfortunately, the were no other useful materials where the carrier was found. But he still found something rather interesting. The girl was probably training when Lazerbeak noticed her. Aside from her skill in human art she could be quite useful when it came to dealing with M.E.C.H. that was still causing some trouble. Having a local by their side would never hurt anyway.
Then Lazerbeak that he left in his berthroom sent him alarm signal. Bot looked at the time. It was 03:24 already. At this time humans need to recharge. What could have happened to this one? Soundwave rushed towards the room. After opening the door he turned the light on and came to human that was laying on her side trembling with all her body. Is she cold? He reached out his servo. Suddenly the girl clenched on his digit slightly pressing against it. She opened her eyes looking at him. She looked really scared.
- Tam... tam nikovo? - she whispered, her voice could barely be heard, - There's no one there, right?
Soundwave looked around the berthroom only to see Lazerbeak sitting in the corner of the room. Was she scared by him? No way. If she saw he didn't even come near her she wouldn't act like this. She wasn't even that scared by meeting Decepticons.
- __No__, - the bot answered using Shockwave's voice, - __What__Wrong_,
She didn't answer. Only clenched onto his digit even harder and squinted her eyes.
He stayed like this for some time, until she finally stopped trembling and let go of him. Now she looked a little flustered.
- Sorry.
- __What__Wrong_, - he repeated.
- It's... it was probably just a sleep paralysis. Nothing serious, - Antonina answered.
The girl then hugged herself as if she was cold. Soundwave quickly ran through a couple of internet sites for some info. "Sleep paralysis"... So this is it? It actually explained her behavior. That was just her brain projecting some pictures while she was conscious and aware of her surroundings. Supported by being completely unable to control her body.
- __what__You_saw, - the bot asked.
- You know what sleep paralysis is? - she asked, her voice still weak, - It was a silhouette... of a tall man. And he... he was hitting me... - the girl shudered and hugged herself tighter.
- _see__often_
- No, it's pretty rare for me. But it happens more often when I sleep with all lights out.
- _why_
- Why? - she whispered becoming more flustered, - Well... it may sound stupid, but... I... I'm afraid of the dark.
Afraid of the dark. Humans sure are funny. They are so fragile that even their own mind can hurt them and so easy to scare, yet they survive somehow. The Autobots' pet could even kill one of Insecticons. They sure are strange creatures.
Soundwave put his servo on the girl's head petting her.
- _Safe__, - he said.
- Thank you, - she answered, laying down, - I better go back to sleep. Sorry for the trouble.
The bot clearly saw that she didn't want to. Even if she was tired and could barely keep her eyes open, she was afraid to see it again. He called Lazerbeak and the bird flew to the desk. It layed down beside the girl resting it's head on her side. The girl then closed her eyes looking at least a little more peaceful.
Soundwave went to leave the berthroom and tapped the control pad in front of the door making the light go dim.
