Betty POV

"Listen I don't know who you are nor do I care but I wouldn't create unnecessary conflicts with me not exactly a good first impression so why don't you scran " Archie demanded his tone authoritive, his glare never leaving Jugheads so cold and frightening it sent shivers down my spine in retaliation, Jughead simply laughs as if being clueless of this not so polite first impressions " Ok-ok dude its all good she's my girlfriend just playing a joke no harm done" He laughs humorously walking off the tense moment prior to this chill and contempt deminar he'd acted upon "Come on darling your making me look bad infront of your friend here " He remarked reaching out for me ,my body stood paralysed prepared to be dragged away into a worldwind of chaos and conflict , my eyes widen once Archie shifts me away from him gently pulling me back "This unfortunately doesn't seem as a joke to me so why don't you leave peacfully " Archie responded protective gaze in his warm brown orbs "Either that or i call the campus security your choice " He affirms never once removing his hand from shielding me nor breaking eye contact with an annoyed for once powerless Jughead

A long tense silence stood before Jughead laughs arms up in surrender "Ok man I don't want to cause any trouble I'll call you later Betty " He jokes turning away and dissapering into the distance , Archie turns to me hands on my shoulder assuringly "Are you a-" he remarks before I finally gain the courage to speak "You didn't have to do " I frown my arms crossed agaisnt my chest "Betty you came running towards me with tears on your face and clung to my arms " he scuffs as if finding my sudden act of distance profoundly annoying "Ye well its none of your business I had the situation under control" I snap back standing my ground ,the red head laughs in humour "Clearly" he commented "What's your problem " I ask aggressively pointing to his chest once more "I don't have a single problem apparently though you have plenty" he barks "Ye your right I do have plenty and those all round right back up to you " I counter "I don't fucking need you fighting my battles so stop sticking your nose in my business " I continued

A part of me knew I wasn't being completely irrational and unfair, I'd know the words coming out like word vomit had no relevance nor thought into them but I hadn't possessed the will to care frankly "Your being completely irrational right now Betty" he argued "Oh am I I'm sorry do I look like a fucking child you have to take care of to you do I have babysit written on my forehead " I laugh crudely "You know what your problem is Betty your incapable of seeing others perspectives your so undoubtedly insecure that your incapable of believing anyone could care for you so you put yourself in these shit situations to feel validated you hate yourself so much don't you" he questions all his words heavy on my shoulders my eyes sink all colour gone "Your a fucking Masochist " He fires , I nod my head turning my head to the side and walk away before being forced to stand for these insults by the hand clasped around my wrist "Archie let me go" I warn not once glancing over at him "Stop avoiding this" he whispers , that had been the match set upon my bomb , my hand raises and before I knew it collides with his cheek in a forceful slap which took him back enough for me to snatch my wrist back and walk away slamming the door behind me

Storytellers POV

Betty hadn't thought over the words Archie threw at her face not to long ago ,she'd simply blurred them out as she stood at the mini snack table glass of wine in hand whilst she gulped it down in one , truth was she couldn't care less about going to this Rum collectition launch she'd been forced to attend to by Veronica, she also hates the idea of waiting sitting pretty with a fake smile on her features whilst pretending to know a bunch of people and how she'd been forced to wear this pale pink dress adorsed with pearls all around whilst the waist rested sinched tightly to her body, the fabric flows at the bottom , she'd felt an intense of clostrophobia at how tight this dress presented on her body , at least the sleeves had been a nice flowy transparent pink and at least her hair had been up in an elegant yet messy bun so she hadn't felt the warmth of the wine too uncomfortably
