Chapter 9: The Phone Call

Luke's perspective:

Me: "I'm just going to give Jai a call so that he can bring Anita back so we can start the video!" I started to run over to the trees and called jai,

It was strange, because he always picked up the phone after couple of seconds, but it went to voice mail...

He probably didnt hear the phone the first time, i'm sure hes fine, he's with anita, I could trust her, she was the girl jai would hang around with. just to make sure he's ok, I called him again.

He picked it up!

Me: "finally!" I laughed, but I could hear a girl crying she started screaming.

"Anita? is that you? whats up? calm down"

Anita: "luke, jai's been hit by a bus, please come quick" oh no, this wasn't the first time, he took it really bad last time as well.

"Anita, where are you and ill tell the others we will be there as fast as we can!"

Anita: "we are near the mcdonalds, we was walking to the park to meet you guys, illl tell you more about it later, i'll stay with jai, he's not talking"

A tear fell down my face, i cant believe it, what if, no i can't think like that.

Me: "right we are on our way"

I ran over to the others, but i went to Beau first, i was scared for jai, he was my brother, i love him too much, i started to cry on beaus sholder.

I whispered in beaus ear in a teary voice "its happened again, Beau ,hes been hit by a car" i started to cry even more.

Jasmine came over and rubbed my back, she was so sweet, i can't believe how sweet some girls are after meeting them from a couple of hours ago.

Ellie's perspective (me):

Well poor luke was crying, he looked so cute, I told Jasmine to go over to him and see what was up, i didn't now why he was crying, but i'm guessing it was something to do with Jai, because he was on the phone to him.

While looking at Luke, something caught my eye, there was a girl running down the hill screaming, and shouting something about Jai, I couldn't make out who it was, until I saw it was Ellen.

Ellen: "Guys, Guys" she said in a breathless voice.

Ellen: "You have to come quick, Jai's been hit by a bus!"

We all paused, it was like the whole world had stopped.

Me: "Come on, don't just stand there, Jai's in trouble!" I grabbed Beau's hand and started running.

We finally got to where Jai was, there was police every where, people staring and being nosey, there was a bus, with a dent on the front of it and the glass was broken. The bus must of hit him so hard.

It was like where's Wally, but this was serious I needed to find where Jai was, until I found him, laying on the floor, his face looked bloody, where the glass must of cut him.

Anita was there holding his hand, she was crying and wiping his forehead, there was blood all over her clothes where she had tried to help him, there was paramedics all around him.

Luke: "EXCUSE ME!, I need to get through!"

Police man: "sorry, sir, no can do"

Luke: "yes, can , do, i'm his brother" the policeman let him through, Luke bent down and hugged Jai, he kissed him on the head and started to cry.

The paramedic, put Jai on a stretcher, and put him in the ambulance, Luke and Anita went off with him. Once the ambilance had gone, the croud died down. 30 people, 20 people, 10 people. Then there was us lot, just standing there...

James, Jess, Jordan, Ellen, Jasmine, Daniel, Beau and I, we all stood on the pavement. Staring at the ambulance drive off. A tear shed from my eye, it started to roll down my cheek. Beau looked at me.

Beau: "don't cry, this has happened before, and he turned out fine" he smiled and gave me a hug. His hugs were amazing. I felt warm, it made me feel a lot better about the situation. We both looked into each others eyes. He then got his finger and whipped my tear away.

Beau: "now, come on i'll take you home"
