"Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning do to do afterward."

Author's POV

It broke me...

Bom can't seem to deter what he means behind those words.

But anyway, one thing is clear to her. Jiyong used to hate those gangster material since his father was killed by the likes of them.

"Bommie," Lee hi cut off her train of thoughts joining her in walking towards the SSC office.

The clock hits 7pm and the university was deserted with students already. Some still have classes at night while the rest went home.

"Oppa's gonna be with us a minute. He still has something to get on the office."

"Hmmm..."

Lee hi looked at her.

"Still bothered with yesterday?"

Bom just nodded.

"What does he mean by his words? Her tears broke him...but she seems unreachable all this while."

Lee hi looked ahead, seeing some of the student's car making its way outside the school campus.

"I don't know that too."

They were now heading to the stairs down when they saw Jiyong, somberly gazing down the mini forest with his hands shoved on his pocket.

As Bom and Lee hi was nearing him, simultaneously following where he is directing his eyes.

Under that tree again...

_

Dara was snapped out from her reverie realizing that her cheeks were now wet thinking of something. She stared at her phone ringing endlessly.

The headache still lingered on her head until now as she unconsciously massaged her temple.

The rings died down before it rang again.

By the time she hits the button to answer it, she managed a wide grin on her face.

"You miss me already, sweetheart?"

The other line didn't answer for a moment.

"Where are you?" Jiyong asked on the other line staring at her in a distance.

Bom and Lee Hi directed their eyes to Dara who was answering her phone right now. That moment, they finally understood what does he meant. She is clearly suffering on her own yet she's not showing it to anybody. They felt how far she is to them now.

"In school, baby moo. Why?"

There's a tiny tears escapes from her cheeks but she wipe it off, still wearing that stupid grin.

"...Can I ask you for a dinner?"

Dara blinked countless times before speaking up.

"Is there something wrong, moo?"

Jiyong sigh making it very audible for her to hear on the phone.

"...I'm...very frustrated right now, Miss Park."

"Wae? Tired of your duties?" she asked in concerning tone. He closed his eyes by that. How can she be concern of other people when it's very obvious that she was the one who needs to be comforted for whatever she is having now on her arms.
