As soon as we get to our usual sitting spot, we start thinking about my master plan. But first, we have to come up with the plan.
"Em, listen to me. You are already better than Alison. Well, at least your personality is. You don't need to prove anything!"
"Yes, I do. So let's brainstorm."
"Fine." Giggles says with a sigh
"Did the JaberWalky have any kids? Oh, some siblings! Did he have any of those?" I could feel a rush of excitement filling my body.
"No and no. How about the other worlds? We never brainstorm about them."
She was right. we never even brought up the other worlds. We knew that we could travel through worlds but we never thought about it being part of the plan.
Then we look at each other and say, in unison, "The Garsu!" Giggles laughs but then realizes what we just said.
The Garsu. Legend says that a horrible beast has been terrorizing the citizens of Soul's Island for centuries. Even though the island is called Soul's Island, it is not scary and has nothing to do with lost souls or anything like that. Anyway, the Garsu controls 2 of the basic elements and 1 magical element. He controls fire, water, a magic element called Sage. Sage allows a magical creature, person or beast to combined 2 or more elements together. It doesn't have to be a basic element. It can also be a magical element too.
Legend also says that the Garsu only knows how to control and combined the water and the fire, without putting out the fire. He can also make the flames hot enough to be blue and purple, and make the water dense to his command.
"Are you crazy?!" Giggles now doesn't seem so giggly.
"No, but, you know how much this means to me! Are you in, or are you out?"
I put my hand out, hoping she will reach out and grab it. Instead, her face goes blank and she says, "You know all of us love you. And yeah, I do know how much this means to you, but if getting yourself killed is the way then I'm out. Do it without me. If you do come back alive, and I sure hope you do, then I will be here by your side, wishing that you would have realized that you don't need to kill a beast to be recognized."
She just turns around, and leaves me standing in the deep, dark forest.
Speechless and Alone.
