Charles hauled Adelaide by her hair and into the lake while Hannah gripped a screaming Ana in place.

"You're in the school swim team, right? Well, why don't you swim for us? Try not to drown" he pushed her head into the water, dislocating her foot in the process. Adelaides screams of pain were bubbles on the surface of the water.

2 hours and 12mins earlier

"Oh come on! You promised you'd take me with you today" Ana grumbled to her elder sister.

"No, for the millionth time, you are not coming with me"

"But..."

"NO!"

"Well, you did make a promise yesterday" Adelaide stared at her father in disbelief as he walked out of the kitchen with a tray of freshly baked cookies. "And we don't break promises here"

"Unbelievable" Adelaide exclaimed and threw her arms in the air "She's only six!"

"I'm seven and three months!" Ana shrieked as she ran from the dresser in her room to the closet in the hallway shuffling around.

"And what in heavens name are you doing?!" Adelaide yelled at the little sister she couldn't quite see.

"Packing up!"

"For What? You aren't even going near the water"

"What?!"

"It's your first time and you can't even swim"

"But..."

"I'm not taking you with me if you're gonna leap into the water Ana"

"Okay, okay fine" Ana sighed, she'd give anything to spend time with her sister.

"Girls, breakfast" Their single father called out.

"No thank you, I don't want cramps" Adelaide declined.

"I need mine packed up, please pa" Ana called out from her room.

"Ana, get down here now or I'm leaving without you"

Ana ran down the stairs in a floral white dress and pink shoes. "How do I look?" Adelaide rolled her eyes and walked out of the house. With an unwavering smile, Ana grabbed her food and skipped after her sister who was already waiting impatiently in the car. "Thank you for waiting" Ana climbed into the car.

After a 10 minutes drive, Adelaide sat the car at the side of a bridge that ran across a rocky lake.

"Ade this isn't practice"

"No, it's not, I'm not going to practice"

"But dad..."

"...doesn't need to know about where we went today, it should be our little secret okay?"

Ana nodded. "But why are we here?"

"I'm on a date" Adelaide smiled to herself as she wondered how she got the attention of Charles Dawson, the boy of her dreams. Literally. "Come on" Adelaide hopped out of the car and walked around to help her sister out.
Ana carried her food with her. They walked down a rocky hill that led down to the lake and Ana found a smooth surface to sit.
An hour and a few minutes went by and Ana, bored of waiting, began to eat her food and shortly after, Adelaides date arrived and to her surprise, he wasn't alone.
