"My,my," Mrs.L/n mused. The males in the room all gawked at the mouth watering cake before them but the lady was more amuse at how many friends her precious little M/n had made in his first year in Aoba Johsai.

They all took a piece, often coming back to have more. Mostly Hanamaki and Matsukawa, especially Oikawa. Even when Mrs.L/n insisted so,Iwaizumi was quick to scold them off to their manners.

"L/n-san is so nice! I can see
M/n-chan takes after you," Oikawa said after swallowing his food. He, atleast, had a little bit of manners left in him.

M/n's mother was obviously flattered at the statement as her face lit up. She wasnt even bothered when she heard Oikawa refer to her son with his first name. The suffix being -chan, meaning they were already close.

She was delighted. Unknowing that was just really Oikawa's natural nature.

"He really does, doesn't he?" She took a bite out of her own piece of cake.

The visit continued on, and M/n couldnt have had more fun than ever. It was truly thrilling to have friends at your home. It was the first in a while since the house was crowded with joy.

As M/n walked back to his room, where the rest of the VBC members were supposedly 'studying', e/c orb glanced out the window and the his heart beat quickened as a black vehicle entered the yard, approaching the mansion.

He didn't waste time sprinting to his room and unintentionally bursting through the door, scaring most of the volleyball team.

His cheeks began to hurt as he forced out a smile but it was fooling no one.

"Its already late...I think you should all go home," he pointed towards out the door, eager to have them out soon.

Oikawa was the first to comment out, immedietly pointing out the thing M/n hadn't want any of them to point out.

"Is something wrong? You seem... tense," the question put M/n off as he swiped it away. Nothing wrong at all, he tried to convince them.
Its just getting late.

"You should all leave now," he went towards Kindaichi and had the tall male stand up. Kunimi had no choice but to follow afterwards.

They were all pushed towards out his bedroom door after they had all their stuff back in their bags. They were confused as they had used the backdoor than the front door they used to get in but didnt questioned the h/c.

As they reached outside, M/n took them to a back gate, hidden behind the bushes and trees. It was a possibility he was the only one who knew it was there.

"Okay, here we go. It was nice studying with you everyone. I'll see you tomorrow," M/n blabbered as he practically pushed them all out but Oikawa was seriously bothered by it.

He grabbed the h/c's wrist before he could shut the gate and stared deep into e/c orbs. Even if they weren't staring back.

"Wait a minute,M/n-chan. Whats with the suddem change of demeanor? Is nothing seriously wrong?" Oikawa asked, gripping on to the h/c's wrist.

M/n gave little to no response as he tried to pull his hand away from the captain.
"I...would rather not talk about it,"

Oikawa wasnt able to press any further as Iwaizumi pulled their captain back. Shaking his head in interjection. Back off.

"I'll see you guys on monday!" The h/c smiled as he closed the gate before sprinting back inside the mansion.

None of the Aoba Johsai volleyball team knew why that happened but they were mostly concerned about the h/c.

M/n made it just in time to greet his father by the door as the man entered. The line of maids already present along with his mother to welcome the man back.

Cold e/c orbs staring back into
M/n's similar ones once he entered the mansion. A chorus of greetings  echoed.

"Welcome back, dear," M/n's mother greeted from beside him as the man approached their figures. The h/c remained quiet with eyes digging into the floor as he trembled under the man's fury gaze.

He then forced out a small greeting "W-welcome back, Otou-san..." the hesitance of the words being said was obvious but M/n pretended he didnt hear the patheticness in his own voice.

His father said nothing and continued to ignore him as he went upstairs. Leaving his wife in disapproval, and his son.

It didn't matter though. As soon as the man was out of sight,M/n released a shaky breath as he shivered. That man was scary.

That man in which he called his father.

M/n's mother could see the tense release from the boy's body. She was sure to have a word with her husband later that night.

At dinner table,M/n was the first to excuse himself and quickly went back to his room. His mother then glared at his father as he left.
The words floating around her

This is all your fault.

That night,in his parent's room, as soon as his mother entered the room, she could see the very same man, the man M/n had feared

Crying by the bedside.

"Isn't my son just the cutest?!" He exclaimed as snot raced down his face. It would have been gross if the woman didnt love him. Although,it was still a little gross.

She laughed a little at her husband as she sat on the bed and attempted to comfort him.

"He even greeted me when I came back home!" He uttered.

"Yes he did. I was there," she said, like stating the obvious to a toddler.

"But he looked so scared of me!" The man cried out as tears spilled like a waterfall from his eyes.

"Yes he did. I was also there," his wife repeated.

"Why!? Why is he afraid of me?!" The man asked. At this point, his wife could only sigh as she tried to comfort her husband through the night.
