It was the dead of night, November 5th. Because I'm always talking to the animals and bonding with them, I was told to stay back to keep them calm. I wonder around checking on the beautiful creatures, wondering what it would feel like to be a sea animal.

The fireworks bang vigorously in the sky of the horizon. *loud splash* oh god. I run over to the whale section to see my best friend, Newwie The Bryde's Whale slashing about in a panic. I lean of the railings over the whale pool, call her name and she comes to me. She whines as I gently lay my hand on the tip of her nose, I speak softly and kindly to calm her.. she makes less sound and chills out.

I leave Newwie to her swimming and wander over to the office to see a higher rank worker that watched me calm her, I walk in and say "what are you doing here?" In the least embarrassed way. "How- How did you do that? You know, relax Newwie..?" The woman says in confusion. I explain how I have a strong connection with most animals and that I feel as if they've gained trust. She probably thought I was crazy. "Oh. Ok! I was just checking on you before I went back home." I just slightly nod. "Okay, see you tomorrow" she says awkwardly.. I walk back to Newwie, scratching my arm in stress of embarrassment.

An hour or so later...

I grab my bag and my vintage headphones, walking out the Museum. I watch the night sky while the song "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus plays on my headphones as I walk home.

I'm so sorry this took me two days to write and it's not even that long, I promise I will carry this series going!

I've been quite unmotivated to write the past couple days because I have no ideas so I'm sure I'll be writing more interesting stuff next time! Xx
