My Neighbour || Niall

Charlie's

Continuing from last chapter...
He wrapped his arms around her waist, and began kissing her back.

My heart ached.

Fran and I sat there in silence, as Niall and Melanie made out. After about 2 seconds I called it quits and left the room. Fran followed me close behind.

"Nina." She raised an eyebrow. "You like him don't you?" She whispered. I slid down the wall on my back, till I hit the ground.
"Yes." I mumbled.

We went back a few minutes later, and Melanie and Niall were sitting together on the couch just talking. I felt a slight feeling of envy as I watched Melanie talk to him so easily, and him fall for her. Fran cleared her throat, and as soon as the pair turned to look at us, we walked over to them.

Melanie studied me as I shuffled over to where they were sitting, and just as I was about to sit next to Niall she finally spoke.
"I guess I'll go now, thanks guys that was fun!" She winked at me then got up and left.

As soon as the door clicked shut, my phone buzzed in my pocket, I sat next to Niall, and pulled it out. Fran and Niall soon started talking, and I unlocked my phone. It was a text from Melanie.

You like him don't you? Hehe
I quickly replied with a nooo, and turned my phone off engaging in the conversation.

"Well I better go now..." Niall awkwardly mumbled. "Today was fun." he laughed.
"Bye!" Fran and I said at the same time.
We all laughed and he made his way across the hallway to his apartment. As soon as his door shut, I sighed.
"I'm just so awkward." I mumbled.
"Well it's not hard to change." Fran winked at me.
"I think I should go now, it's getting dark." I looked out of the curtains, and she was right it was getting dark. Time had just flew by.
"Bye." I smiled, and she left. Again I felt lonely, but I had to just live with it, because I did chose to live alone. I just shrugged it off, and decided to go out and get takeaways for dinner. But before I stepped outside into the forever falling snow, I layered myself up in my favourite winter outfit. A blue jumper from PINK thrower over a couple of layers, dark leggings, doc martins, and a nice wooly scarf, and beanie. Then I was ready to go.

As I left the apartment building to my car, I was amazed by the snow. It was the most I had seen in ages. It covered trees, cars, and lay in high piles all over the street, threatening the low doors of the buildings along the street. After my small stop, I soon made my way to my small blue car, and began to drive to find some dinner. It took me ages to decide what I was going to have, but I decided on my favourite takeaway restaurant, Charlie's.

Charlie's is a small food place that I have visited for as long as I have lived here. (That's a long time). I know the owners quite well, so it's nice going there and being surrounded by lovely, familiar people.

As I pulled up outside of Charlie's, I jumped out of the car as fast as possible, and fast walked into the restaurant, to be greeted happily by Charlie himself.
"Nina so good to see you! Missed having your regular company. What can I get you?" Charlie the chef yelled from the kitchen behind the counter.
"Just the regular please." I replied with a smile, and a nod. He smiled back, and quickly grabbed some bacon to fry, to whip up my B.L.T. I payed then went to go take a seat in my favourite booth, the one at the end to wait for my meal. I like this spot because I like to just be alone, and think to myself, without having anybody stare at me while I eat. I made my way to my spot, and just as I turned into it I saw Niall sitting there making out with some girl. I quickly gasped and turned and began walking away, mind slapping myself, because I should have never even had a tiny crush on him. And as I was walking to find a seat, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Nina stop." I turned around, and it was Niall himself.
"What." I spat back a little to harshly.
"I heard someone gasp, and I looked up and saw you walking away. Have I done something wrong?" He asked with a very concerned look. I took a moment to breathe, and realise that I had to reason to be so rude, we weren't even going out.
"No nothing's wrong, I was just a bit disturbed. Haha." I replied with a very forced smile.
"Oh okay good, I didn't want to hurt you." He replied with a sigh of relief.
We both said a short goodbye, then went our separate ways. Since my seat was obviously taken, I just went to a table next to the window, and looked out into the dark car park outside, just thinking to myself as usual. Then in no time, Alice, Charlie's wife came to deliver my B.L.T. I thanked her with a big grin, then she walked off to deliver the next plate to another customer.

Once I had finished my dinner, I waved a thanks to Charlie and Alice, and stepped into the cold winter night. I quickly ran to my car, to save myself from getting frostbite, and turned on the heater as soon as possible. I then sat in the car for a little while just letting the car heat up. And just as I was about to reverse out of my park, somebody knocked on my window. I immediately stepped on the brakes in shock, but when I looked up at the window I just saw Niall cracking up. I opened the door for him and told him to shut up and get in.
"What do you want." I laughed.
"Well you see I just need a lift home, because the girl I was with ditched me with another guy." He sighed. "Could I possibly get one?" He asked.
"Nope." I said with a very serious look, trying to hold in my laugh.
"Really? I mean we are going to the same place so I mean..." He began to say before I started crying with laughter.
He just looked at me with an annoyed face, and cracked a smile after a while. I began to drive, and then we began to talk, it was just about how we were, and our jobs, and what we like and dislike. It wasn't to boring, because we were back in no time. When we both got out of the car, he thanked me loads and I just laughed at him. Then we walked into the building side by side. That moment felt so perfect, and for some strange reason it felt so right.
