A seven year old boy runs through the cobblestone roads of Palar City. His footsteps make a thudding sound as he avoids the ever growing puddles. Rain falls on him in bucket fulls and lightning is visible in the distance. The streets are deserted, all shutters shut and doors barricaded. The young boy holds a bundle, doing his best to shield himself and the bundle in his dark cloak as he runs. He can still hear the pursuing footsteps trying to catch up to him. Tears are visible in his clear sky blue eyes. His blood red hair is covered in filth and sweat, and noticeably overgrown.

He finally stops in front of a stone building. The wooden door seems too ancient to open, and the latch too rusted to stop him. The windows are hidden behind nailed wooden planks. Shifting the bundle onto his other arm he tried the latch. As predicted it broke off. The boy threw it behind him in a fit of uncaged rage. It hit a wall, causing a visible dent and creating a loud crash, with more force than the young one intended.

Voices were heard and thuds followed as a light reflected off the buildings. The boy, panicking, said under his breath, 'Bloody door knob.' And put all his force into the door, without success. He glanced down at the bundle in his arms and looked at the door again, with a determined glint in his eyes. He reached into his satchel taking out a small bag containing a violet dust. He opened it and blew it out of the bag. It started swirling around him as the wind picked up, creating a momentary shelter from the rain. He hummed a strange tune and said, "Pulvis differre obiectus Sinite solidum et socii, quodcumque est nobis obstat, quod sequitur, ut tutus."
