Damn that's why it was so quiet. "Well, what happened?" I screamed. "Damn, she was like, have you seen Raven?" "I said no ma'am I haven't, i thought i was just lying for you, but turns out, I really didn't know where you were."
"So anyway, who gave you a ride?" Asked DJ. "Rosco," I said. There was a long silence after that. "DJ?" "Raven, stay the hell away from him." said DJ firmly. "Why?" I rudely asked. "Just do it" and he hung up. What did he mean. I thought. My mom is freaking out, and now I got my best friend freaking too. This day couldn't get any worse. I spoke too soon. Cause just then, but mom appeared in the doorway.
She just looked at me, with those cold eyes. The eyes that made me want to scream. Or scram. "Where the hell were you?" she said, breaking the silence. "I was-" "I went down to every place you could be, and you weren't there, i called DJ, and he said he didn't know either, so where the hell were you?" "Mom-" "I have been worried sick about you, I told you she would say that. "Okay, I was at the party, I went with DJ and that was all it was supposed to be," i explained "And was it all there was?" Asked my mom, knowing the answer. "Why do you care?" I said, boldly "Oh gee i don't know Raven, maybe because I'm your fucking mother!" She screamed. She paused. In all my life I have never heard her curse like that.
The phone rang. And you didn't want to guess who it was. "Hello?" my mom said. "Stay the hell away from my babygirl, or else you wearin' a toe tag, bitch"
