Honey rode her bike on the sidewalk with her plush puppy in her cart with a book and snacks. She hummed a melody before stopping at her favorite tree. Wearing a white button up shirt and a pink overall skirt with sandals, she dusted off her skirt.
She smiled and placed her bike near the tree. Pulling out her book and snacks, which were cookies and a juicebox, and plopping down near the tree and began reading.
Her father at work and her mother sleeping. Her sister out with friends and that leaves her to do what she wants until dinner. Reading a history book and sipping her juice casually.
After about 20 minutes she hears a truck come by like many cars, but this was a moving truck.
'Someone is moving in?' she questioned.
Honey was done with her cookies and her juicebox, so the 7 year old puts them in her cart and goes down the hill with her bike after removing her ribbon from her braided pigtails and placed it in her book to save her spot. The girl looks around the corner.
She peaks from the corner to see two young boys, almost her age, and a very old man. One boy had the largest afro shes ever seen and the other boy had cornrows. The afro boy had on a green button up shirt over a white long sleeved t-shirt and and baggy blue jeans with regular shoes. The cornrow boy had a white tank top on and also baggy blue jeans. She giggled before the boy with an afro notices her. She gasped before turning around and running away to her house.
Huey watched as the girl left..... Strange. He didn't like this neighborhood already.
