Chapter 3

The state races

It was the day after the races the people who won the city races Got a free scholarship to a dragon collage, so when they were old enough thats where we go to college, buts in only in my town, So in about 5 years I'm off to dragon collage with Imogene and that girl named Elizabeth Priest.

" that was some nice racing you did yesterday"my mom said as she woke me up.

" *yawn* thanks" I said tiredly.

I got my cloths on and walked out to see Dimian

" hay buddy how's it going" I said to Dimian

" oh I'm fine little one, just a bit tired that's all" he replied.

" ok then today will just be filled with rest" I said

And it was until nightfall, I had never been night riding but I've herd other people riding outside. So when my mom and Cameron were asleep I went out to Dimian strapped in my legs and rode off into the night. Surprisingly I saw Cassie!

" hey cas I didn't know you went night riding" I said

" oh yeah, and sadly so does Imogene" she replied.

" that's sad i was hoping to have sum fun, I hope we don't see her" I said sadly.

We talked for a while then we strapped in our legs and flew for about an hour. Then I had to go home before my mom woke up and noticed I was gone.

" that was fun, we should fly together another time" I said

" shur anytime" Cassie said and flew off

It took me about ten minutes to get home. Lucky my family was fast asleep, I quickly unstrapped my legs and put Dimian away. When I got in my house I quickly ran upstairs and got in bed

I awoke the next morning to my brother Cameron saying, you are getting very sleepy very sleepy.

" uh no I'm not in fact you woke me up" I said

" I know you went night riding last night" he said

" WHAT! How? If you tell mom i kill you!"I shouted at him.

" don't worry I won't as long as you teach me how to ride a dragon when mom lets me" he said

" fine but remember it takes a long time to learn" I said, he nodded

I shooed him out of my room so I could get dressed. Then I went and did my hair.

'Alright Dimian let's get going' I said as i strapped in my legs.

'Alright small one were are we going' Dimian asked me

'Oh just to the park, I herd there having a special traing session there for any dragon racers who have entered the races' I said

We flew off. When I got there I could see quit a few dragons and their owners.

'wow! I didn't know there would be this many dragons Dimian' I said surprised

' some of the dragons are actually to young for riding' Dimian said sadly

I looked around and saw the cutest little dragon about 7 months old. Dragons should be at least a year old before training.

'Don't worry buddy as long as your fine I'm fine' I said trying cheer him up

He smiled back at me. I smiled to.
