Chapter 6- Kayla Has a Secret

Olivia's POV
He hugs me and his heat is radiant on my body.
"Hayes." I whisper "Whats wrong."
"I dumped Carmen. She's a cheater." he whispers back
"Oh Hayes." I say
"It could be worse. I could still be with her." he says laughing but, he's still hurt
"Hey it's going to be ok." I say it's hard not to just kiss him on the cheek he's so sweet and sincere. He pulls me in for another hug he wraps his hands around my waist and puts his chin on my head and I snuggle myself into his t-shirt that smells like fabric softener.
Someone taps on my back. Its Kayla.
"Let's go now." she says
"Wait a second." I begin
"Olivia if Carmen sees you you're dead lets go." She demands
"Ok fine Kayla. Bye Hayes." I say
"Bye Olivia." he says
I start to walk with Kayla.
"What happened between them?" I ask
"Carmen cheated on him." she says
"Who's taking us home?" I ask
"Uh Justin." she answers "Was Hayes upset?"
"Yeah he was." I say "So she just cheated on him that easily?"
"Yeah I can't believe I think of Carmen as a lot of things but not a cheater."
"I've known her since I was 8 and I don't know anything about her." I state
"I guess that makes two of us there's Justin's car." Kayla exclaims
In Justin's car Kayla gets a text from her friend Lauren.
I guess Kayla has a group of friends I don't know about.
"Whos Lauren?" I ask
"My friend." she responds
"Cool." I say and text Hayes on my phone.
My phone buzzed
Kiss the boy and you die.

What the hell
Hayes🙌🎯- Wanna go ice skating
You- Sure when?
Hayes🙌🎯- An hour
You- K pick me up

I keep that text in my mind Kiss the boy and you die.

Probably some prank. Anyway I have a 'date' with Hayes.
I am sorta excited in a way.
Kayla is texting Lauren constantly.
"Kayla I have a date with Hayes." I say
she stops in her tracks.
"What!" She exclaims and I smile but, Kayla's not smiling.
"Cancel it. Now!" She yells
"W-what no!" I yell
"Olivia Jane cancel it! Now!" She screams
"Fine." I lie its still on just Kayla doesn't think so. Something is going on and I'm confused. I wish she would just tell me. It's also so weird because, Kayla is extremely emotional and she can't keep her mouth shut. Kayla is expressive and she isn't talking about it. She's holding it in and once Kayla holds something in, she cracks. Kayla has to crack right or she could just tell me now. I finally just ask her "Whos Lauren and why are you texting her so aggressively."
"Because she's my friend Olivia geez." she says and shoos me off.
She left her phone on the table and I open it and unlock it and go to messages and being Kayla. She deleted everything. Once again I was at a blank space.
