So I go to a co-op for homeschoolers every Friday, and so they wanted me to do a 100-word assignment on a 'how to do a paper of your choice'
So I chose how to get off the great plateau in legend of Zelda, breath of the wild.
And this is what I have so far, if you have any tips or anything I missed please tell me.

Well, you first start out in the Shrine Of Resurrection. That's where you obtain the Sheikah Slate. A useful item later on in your journey. So once you exit the Shrine Of Resurrection, you look out upon the great land of Hyrule.

On the other hand Link (The Main protagonist in this adventure) has no idea where he is. Or why there's a Strange Lady talking to him. (Zelda. She tells you about the Sheikah Slate and how to use it properly) so here he is. Looking off a cliff at land that looks completely unfamiliar to him. Once this little cutscene is done it moves to a hooded old man. Once you arrive at him he's sitting by a fire, a staff in his hands.

Now there are three ways you can do to start up a conversation with him:

One: Steal the Baked Apple near the fire. His reaction will be:
"I DO PARDON THAT WAS MY BAKED APPLE"
Then he'll say he was nearly just pulling your leg.

Two: Take the torch that's leaning on the large rock. If you do he'll ask you how you're going to use it, you have three options for this:
One: "To set things on fire!"
Two: "Use it as a weapon!"
Three: "Its a secret"

Or Three: just talk to him. (I guess that was expected)
He'll say "strange to see another being up in these parts"
You can either end the conversation by saying "goodbye" or ask: "where are we?"

If you ask the question he'll say "strange question, but your eyes look upon the land like you are unfamiliar with it, so I shall tell you. This is Hyrule, but you are on the great plateau." he then gets up and points to a large ruin on the near horizon. "that is the Temple Of Time, legend says that it was used to worship the goddess Hylia... But now it stands a ruin, a former shell of what It once was..."

At first, it's just super confusing why he would just bring up that randomly. But it makes more sense when you get further into the game.

Once you're done with the conversation with the old man, you stroll down a broken path. There's a woodcutters ax stuck in a wood stump. It makes a good weapon, so I would suggest taking it. (the old man won't mind...I think)

As you're skipping down the path, the voice comes back. (Zelda)
She says: "head to the point marked on your Sheikah Slate"
So you get on the map that's on the Sheikah Slate, there's a yellow pin pinned on the map in a certain place. So as you might have guessed, that's where you're supposed to go.

They're is a fairly large lake behind where the old man is located.
On a little island, there's a rusty clamore, I would suggest taking that.

But in the water, there's a ring of moss-like stuff on top of the water. If you dive right into it, a Korok will appear.
He'll say "ya ha ha! ....Wait your not Hestu! But you can see me!? It's been forever sense your kind where able to see the children of the forest! Well If you ever see Hestu please give this to him!" it then gives you a Korok seed. Which will be useful later on in the game. He also says "all my friends are hiding in all sorts of places around Hyrule! So if you see something suspicious don't be scared to check it out!"

You can find all kind of koroks by looking into weird places, like if you notice anything weird, feel free to look around and solve the Korok's riddle.

On your way there you'll encounter some red Bokoblins, their monsters and will attack you with no hesitation. So that's a problem. I would suggest taking them down so you can get more weapons and shields (but be careful because weapons, shields, and bows can break)

Once you're close to you're destination, you'll spot two red Bokoblins armed with Boko bows. I would take them down with a stealth attack from behind, once you eliminate them take their bows, they should also drop a bundle of 5 arrows, take those as well, there are also arrows scattered around there shooting range. I would suggest that you savage them up and take them, that way you have more arrows in your quiver.

Once you're done with this. In front of your destination. There a armed Blue Bokoblin. Blue Bokablins have 72 health points, while just regular red one's have 13 health points.

Now you CAN avoid the blue one. But it's carrying some good stuff.
Like a travelers Sword, it deals five damage. Witch is pretty good for your current inventory. And a soldiers shield. Which is also useful.

So if you decided to take it down, or just sneak past you'll finally end up at your destination. Which is a bunch of bolders stacked up, but inside there's Sheikah Technology.

There's a place to put your Sheikah Slate. If you do that, then well. The Sheikah Tower emerged from the ground and shoots up. And well you will black out for some reason, a rock probably hit Links head or something.

When he regained conciseness, the tower is up in the sky.  As well as the other ones scattered across the lands of Hyrule. When Link regains consciousness, you're up in the sky. And the Sheikah Slate is gathering data around the great Plateau. When it's finished the map has more detail in a certain section.

Once you arrive at the ground the old man comes in flying on a glider type thing.

He'll explain how a bunch of more towers shot up out of the ground across the lands of Hyrule then he'll ask if you heard a voice.

You have two options for this:

One: "I did" to this he'll say if you recognized the voice, you can say "i did" or "i didn't"

Two: "I didn't"
