"I'm finally home."

You walked around the small town of Beach City, to take in the scenery and to find your way around. People and Gems walked around together along the boardwalk, chatting about everyday things.
You were knocked out of your thoughts when a wonderful smell entered your nose.
Doughnuts.
You looked around to find the source of the delicious aroma, and you found it, a place called the Big Doughnut.

You chewed on your doughnut as you continued to walk around, unaware that you've walked onto a beach in front of a house connected to a large hill. You hadn't noticed this until you heard the sounds of the waves and the cold droplets splashing onto your sandals.
You shrugged and took off your sandals then took a seat on the warm sand.
The sun was setting.
The sight was beautiful,
Until you heard voices behind you,
"Steven! C'mon, I just want some bits! It's been forever!" A raspy voice said groaning at the end of her sentence.
You froze. You couldn't move.
Another voice sighed. "Amethyst, not now. Maybe after I'm done dealing with this, apparently, something happened at Little Homeworld and only I can 'fix' it." The second voice replied in a hurried manner.
You heard footsteps through the sand become more and more distant, making you think they were gone. You sighed with relief, until.

"Yo."

Your shock and surprise caused you to fall over into the seawater, getting your shirt and pants wet. You stood up and got out of the water, the raspy voice laughing at you.
You took a look at who was seeming to enjoy you falling.
It was a short, purple Gem.
"Geez, you should've seen the look on your face! HA!" She laughed.
You crossed your arms and shook your head, "Whoever you are- you shouldn't do that to others." You said with irritation in your voice.
"Chill Dude, I'm only joking!" The Gem said with a smile on her face.
You sighed in response.
The Gem looked at you while you put your sandals back on and twist your shirt to get the water out, "Anyways, 'you got a name?" She asked.
"It's (Y/N)." You answered.
"I'm Amethyst." She told you, then she looked over to the doughnut bag that you have brought with you. "Ooh! A free meal? Just for me?!" She said as she grabbed the bag and swallowed it whole. She looked back at you.
Your eyes were wide opened and your eyebrows were furrowed with confusion. You stuttered a bit, trying to get a word out but you didn't bother trying to question the quartz. "Anyways, I'll be on my way now." You said as you looked at the sun going down.

You smiled at Amethyst a bit and waved, she did the same back.

The moon was up and the stars filled the sky.

That night, Steven came home with a Gem.
"Amethyst, Garnet, Pearl..
Guess who's back...!"
