in the world of two realms. the middle earth, under the rule of the king of men Skyler known and respected by the gods. and the vast ocean, home of the virgin goddess gifted by the ancients with the name “Aqua”, source of all life.
These two rival realms never tasted a moment of peace, the ambitious king Skyler desired to expand his kingdom for a universal unity but Aqua believed his intentions were evil, she simply didn’t trust the man responsible for conquering each and every kingdom in middle earth.
But with the effort of the young heir of the lost elven kingdom and friend of the king Skyler, the long-awaited peace finally arrived and the war ended. It was a glories moment indeed, the gods cheered for the peace treaty which was to be signed and invited the king and goddess of the two realms to celebrate this happy occasion at the gods gathering which was called ‘THE THING’. brilliant name isn't it?! Among all the gods qualities naming wasn’t what they did best.
In every spring of every year ‘THE THING’ was held by the gods at the point where the sky meets the ocean, horizon. The purpose of this meeting was unknown but it was a long tradition that exceeded the gods existence and they continued this tradition passed to them by their ancestors proudly.
King Skyler was welcomed by a warm applaud by the gods and the invited heroes of variety of species, among them his friend and advisor Aranellon Sora heir of the great Elven royal linage Sora. Soon after, all the audience eyes darted toward the doors as Aqua made her appearance, beautiful as she always was, the hall blew with affection comments praising the beautiful Pearle of the sea, all the gods and heroes admired her and sought her approval.
It was the first time Skyler actually saw Aqua, and he was captivated by her charm deeply, love from the first sight humans called it, purest form of love. he was certain that she was his one, the one that could achieve his dreams of a united world, “and what can’t be united by marriage?” He thought. before signing the peace treaty, he made his announcement, in front of all the gods and heroes he asked Aqua’s hand in marriage, the gods cheered for this proposal that only meant good to both realms.
But Aqua as much as she showed respect and liking to the young king, the sea was her eternal love, she was going to refuse his proposal but she couldn’t speak in front of the other gods as it will be rude and humiliating to the king so she came with a plan. she told the king that the ocean was her world, her love, her everything.
“My ocean has no beginning and has no end, created by endless water drops, and its home for a vast number of creatures.” she followed “I can’t live in a place less than that, free and unchained…and thus my bride price should not be less than that.” She closed her sentence.
The king Skyler accepted her demand and promised her a world as marvelous as hers, then he went on his quest to create the sky, the gift the gods gave him ones, larger than the sea itself but it was empty and unbearable to live in, like a huge desert.
He thought for days for a way to fill that emptiness and make it as beautiful as the ocean to empress his love, after a brief period of time and with the help of Sora he found a way, creative way to make the sky more…lively.
He walked one night with his friend in the side-routes of his kingdom till they reached the shores of the sea discussing their plan, and along the way they collected various objects, animals and creatures and with their help created stars, shiny beautiful little dots, endless as the water drops that made the ocean, they lightened the dark space.
And that was the plan of the sea goddess to get rid of the king and trap him in the world he created, with every object he used, every animal and every creature that helped him in his quest, it chained part of his soul to that marvelous world he created. When he finished his master piece and prepared to go back and reclaim his bride, he realized he was prisoned, chained to the twelve zodiacs he created with the help of every zodiac sign.
When the sea goddess heard about the new world, the sky. And saw how fascinating it was, she was so happy that the king kept his word and surprised her with such creation, she realized that deep down she started falling for him, but soon tears of happiness turned to tears of sadness and regret as she knew the king won’t be there to put the ring on her finger.
And there they were, two lovers as far from each other as the sky is far from the ocean, mourning each other for eternity.
