Marshall's POV

6:30 A.M.

I had hit my alarm quickly, groaning heavily as I sat up. My room wasn't normally this messy. Sure, I'd have clothes lying around every now and then, but it honestly looked fine. But I guess last night I had one too many drinks to end the day with. I had a reason though. Bubba decided to set me up on another horrifying date. It isn't ideal of me to go, but I only get so much time to spend with him.

Last night's "Lucky Lady" was Cake. Fiona's friend. The one I hate. I can't stand her constant singing as if she's leading a church choir. It's annoying. And the fact that he chose us to double date at a karaoke bar made it ten times worse. The way she sang made it sound like a cat screeching in the middle of the night. Everything about her makes me want to claw my eyes out. Still, I couldn't do anything about it. It was out of my hands. Anyways, I told Bubba we couldn't be together. He laughed talking about already knowing that information, probably because we fought all night. And now he wants me to go out on another date, I don't understand the point of this though. I'm obviously not interested. Plus- I don't like women. Knowing Bubba, I'm guessing he had forgotten already. Despite that, I'm still making my way down to the cafe. As long as I get to see him, I'm fine with it.

7:37 A.M.

"Marsh! Marsh, over here!" I could hear him screaming out to me, his voice ringing through my ears as I lightly jogged over towards him. "Okay, so-" He began speaking, I knew it would be about the new girl he was going to set me up with, but I said nothing. Listening to those pink lips ramble on about the woman I wanted nothing to do with, was alright with me. As long as I got to listen to him speak at all. "..and she's actually really pretty. Seems like she fits your style and I already spoke with her, I feel like your personalities would work well together." My eyebrow raised at the statement. "So you thought of me when you chose her?" He only nodded in response, holding onto my hand in excitement. "Please, and if you don't like her, I'll look for a date with you, alright?" He stared at me with those pleading eyes, slightly gripping onto my hand as I stared back. I could only sigh and agree to his stupid terms, a grin forming on my face as he pleaded. "Alright, but you owe me ice cream after this, okay?" He agreed, hugging me tightly before walking towards a booth seat, sitting down silently.

"Ah- and Fiona's coming. I wanted to see how cute you'd be together in person. It's a double date again!" The words left his lips in excitement, waiting for me to react. All I could do was silently grin. He's got to be an idiot to not know by now, but I can't do much about it. He's happy, so the best I can do is stand by and make sure he stays happy. I need him to stay happy.
