Dawson
I didn't give Rylee an answer. I couldn't. I don't know myself on that. Rylee seems to understand and stay awhile before leaving. I like how she stayed for awhile. She even apologize for slapping me last night. We share laughs together then she told me she have to go.
As I work on things that is on my schedule, I couldn't keep Rylee out of my mind. She always find a way to come back in. To the point I gave up and just stare at her picture.
My phone light up because of a text message. It's from my mom. She's reminding me that the trip is tomorrow at 5am.
So I text Rylee on what she needs to know. Sadly, I didn't get a text back which I was hoping for.
I finished my job later than usual. If it wasn't for Rylee, I'd be out hours ago. I send my secretary a message. A message that if anything comes in, just hang on to it because I won't be in office the next few days.
Rylee
"I hate not being able to come to practice and find out what you have in reserve, but this is somewhat important, John," I wait for him to understand what I have just said.
"What are you saying?" He ask.
"We will have to wait, Dawson and I are going a trip and I hate to go, but it's a have to," I try to sound guilty.
"But Rylee, next month you're doing a performance. A performance that'll help you."
"I know, but don't worry. I can learn really fast. I'll impress you like every other times."
"So it'll be this whole week?"
"Unfortunately, so I'd see you next Monday," today is Wednesday.
"Well then, let's practice what we can today. I have put some dances together already," he sounds disappointed.
An hour practicing with John, Heidi arrive with her choreographer. John and I went to introduce ourselves and then John went to talk to Arianne, Heidi's choreographer.
"Let's skate together," Heidi suggests. I nod and skate ahead then she follows behind me.
I raise my arms and momentarily close my eyes. I feel Heidi touch my wrists then glide her hand to hold my hand. I open my eyes and know that we shouldn't do that, so I pull my hands away.
"I'm sorry, you must not like it," I hear her.
"We shouldn't be holding hands unless it's necessary," I look at her from behind then skate away.
At noon, the four of us went out and have a meal together before departure. It was uncomfortable how Heidi kept looking at me. Her coach, Arianne couldn't stop talking about the news of Dawson and I. Then John hop onto the conversation. It was just overwhelming, so most of the time I wasn't even listening. I thought back to this morning when Dawson didn't answer my question: Does she love me? Even if she doesn't give me an answer, I think I have an idea.
So after lunch, I drove back home. Dawson isn't here so it's just me. I figure to shower before going to a store to get my gears ready. I literally have a wardrobe full of skating gears at the store I'm going to, like why not reuse them? But it isn't my money so it's whatever.
After doing my business and going out again. I was ask to see what I like. The woman who takes care of putting my gears together measures me. She said my measurements are the same as always. After getting that out of the way, it has already been 3pm. I have selected three outfits and there is still one more to go and that will be decided with Heidi.
By the end of the day, I am really tired. So once I got home, I took a nap.
Dawson
The house is quite even if the lights are on. I don't see Rylee anywhere, not in the kitchen, living room, or workout room, but her car is here.
I found her sleeping beautifully. I walk over and pull a chair beside the bed. I sit and lean forward. My hand reach out to touch her cheek. My action made her stir so I pull my hand away. Rylee flutter her eyes open.
"Dawson? Why, when did you get back?" Her voice sounds lovely after waking up.
"Tired, are you?" I smile and caress her cheek again. Surprisingly, she lean against my touch.
"I need sleep for tomorrow when we leave."
"Right, but you haven't pack yet."
"I'll get to it."
I stand up but Rylee grabs my hand.
"You need something?"
"Stay awhile."
I slowly nod then sit down again. "What did you do today?"
"Skate, skate, and skate," she rolls her eyes then look at the watch on my wrist. "Oh, it's six already? I've been asleep for three hours now."
"Then get up,"
Rylee yawn and let go of my hand. "In a bit."
"Tell me about your skating team," I ask. Weird question, but let's just go with that.
"My team have other clients too but I have more privilege. I'm in by a long term contract," she shortly explains.
I nod then we just stare at each other.
"Tell me about your team," she ask my question back to me.
"Generally, we just promote. I have small teams that buys art."
"So it is why you bought me," I smile and so did she.
"Must be a coincidence. Well, we're leaving tomorrow so I suggest you pack then come down for dinner. I got McDonald's."
"I'll have McDonald's first," she giggles.
I stand up and she got out of bed. We both head downstairs and have dinner together for the second time.
"Good night, Dawson," I hear Rylee. Turning around, she is smiling at me. I nod and smile back.
"Good night, Rylee."
