It was one of those cold nights, almost no clouds and just the moon. The city was too bright, so it would be rare to see the stars clearly as you would in the woods...far from civilization, surrounded by silence and peace. An Energy that was so compelling that only a forest could have.
Too compelling if you had to be honest.
You picked up the closest bag to be found and packed the necessary stuff you could think of at the moment. Flashlight, water, phone, maybe some snacks too. Without a second thought, you put on your jacket, gripped your bag firmly, and got through the door, making sure you locked it.
You'd think that a walk so late at night would be scarier and usually, it was, but this time it was different....like mother nature was holding you by the hand, pulling you closer, promising that you'll be safe with her. Time flew by and before you knew, you were already standing by the edge of the forest, gazing into the darkness filled with life.
After walking for a while you end up in a field, no trees or lights in the way, perfect to stargaze alone. At least, that's what you were hoping for. But right after you spread a blanket over the grass, you saw a silhouette that looked like a man move around not too far away. You stopped in your tracks and observed the moving shape, the longer you stared it the more you realized that it was a tree, swinging in the wind. You let out a deep sigh in relief and finally took place on the soft blanket.
Even though the air and skies were cold as ice, the sight of the stars warmed your heart, spreading the heat through your body, letting every muscle relax.
Until
something or someone blocked the light along with your sight. You could not see their face, but you could feel the threatening aura surrounding this person.
