TWO

The time was 5:00am and Taehyung was being shaked awake by Jeongukk who held a toaster waffle in his mouth. He held it in his hand momentarily,

"Tae. You should wake up."

When he didn't even move, the younger sighed.

"Come on.." He poked the cheek that was being smushed into one of his Star Wars pillows, a trail of drool coming out the corner of his mouth.

No response. Jeongukk was just about done doing this morning routine almost every single day.
"Gosh." He squinted his eyes sleepily, running a hand through his hair.

"If you don't wake up on the count of three I'm going to kiss you." He stated with a smirk. Perhaps this method would work better.

The older shifted on the bed.

"One." He moved his head down.

"Two." His lips were now hovering the boys cheek, making him want to scrunch his face up because of the drool smell.

He better fucking wake up.

"Two in a half.." he trailed off.

"Two and three quarters.."

Taehyung finally opened his eyes, moving so that he was facing up. He poked jeongukk in the nose.

"I knew you wouldn't do it." He giggled. His hair was peaked in a bunch of different directions and his eyes were sleepy but he was still trying to make Jeongukk look like the ridiculous one.

He moved up with a head shake and scrunched his face up.

"Go brush your teeth."

The two walked to school slowly, Taehyung munching on chocolate chip pancake.

His eyes widened, "shit! did I finish my homework last night?" He turned to jeongukk and turned his backpack around, about to zip it open if it weren't for the youngers hand on his.

"It's okay. I finished it."

Taehyung looked up at him. "Huh? Guk-"

"You fell asleep on the table last night so I just let you sleep." He took a sip of his juice, "don't worry, okay? I should probably teach you the concepts though so that you do good when you have a test."

Taehyung smiled, "Thank you Gukkie." He gave the boy a tight hug as they walked. "I love you so much."

Jeongukk looked down. "Yeah, yeah whatever. I love you too." He muttered.

They continued to walk until they got to school, stress making its way too Taehyungs stomach just from the sight.

Jeongukk had PE this morning, meaning Taehyung might possible have to interact with other people. Yay. He was practically bouncing off the walls.
It's not that he didn't like talking to people. It's just that tired and Taehyung didn't really mix well.

"I'll see you later." He stated, "don't burn your entire lab again." He didn't even bother muffling his laugh.

Taehyung scoffed as he ran away to avoid being hit, "Hey! That was once!"

He rolled his eyes as he watched his friends coconut head flow through the wind as he ran. Taehyung was so lucky.

...

"Taehyung."

The boy looked up to see a very blonde and very obnoxious Minji approaching him with her stupid long eyelashes and skinny figure and ugh Taehyung hates her so much and she's his total mortal enemy but he has to admit that her physical appearance is pretty.

She leans herself up against the locker next to his in a dramatic way, causing everyone around them to look for at least a moment.

Taehyung turns his head as he bunches up the materials he needs in his locker. "Can I help you?" He asks, silently wondering how she made quite a scene in only one word.

"Can you help me?" She mocks with a gasp, running a hand through her hair.

"Yes, Taehyung..you can." She says, pouting. Suddenly she furrows her eyebrows in an angry matter, Taehyung couldn't help but think that her actions mirrored that of his sisters angry bird McDonald's toy on the counter of his kitchen.

"Leave my Jeongukk alone!" She exclaimed, crossing her arms.

Her Jeongukk?

Taehyung shuts his locker. "Okay," he quickly closes his lock, now turning his attention to the girl next to him who he now notices is very much invading his personal bubble.

"First of all, Jeongukk is my friend." He hold one of his fingers, "And second of all," She gives him an unimpressed look, "he doesn't like you!"

She gasps, like that was the most offensive and rude thing he could say.

"Can you please-and I cannot stress this enough-please get that to your brain you actual banana."

She narrows her eyes at the boy, "You know what Taehyung, you can insult me all that you want. But no one can resist me, and I know that Jeongukk is definitely not exempt from that. So know that one day when we get married and you're our flower girl or something, I knew it all along."

Taehyung gives her a weird look.

Did this bitch just say flower girl??

"Did you even hear what I just said?" She questions.

The boy doesn't respond, and she just facepalms, "ugh-fuck- Okay, nevermind. I don't have time for this, I have class." She picks her lunch bag up from off the floor, and turns back to Taehyung before she leaves.

"He's mine. Okay?" Then she leaves, her heels clicking the tiles as she walks away.

The boy looks towards the floor when she leaves.

He and Jeongukk were only friends. Why did she feel so threatened by him?
