What happened in the alley

My boyfriend and I were walking through town, on our way to the new candy store that had just opened. It was July 15th 2023, Approximately 2pm.

"Hey, wanna go through here?" My boyfriend said, while pointing at an alleyway with his free hand, as I was holding the other. "It'll be quicker."

"Sure, lets do it." I replied, and we made our way through.

It was really quiet, but at least it was light outside. It was really sunny, and there were a few people here and there. So nothing bad could happen, right? Since there are people around and it isn't dark? That's what we thought, too.

We were roughly half way through the alley, when a group of 4 boys approached us. We didn't think anything of it, until the boy on the left started giggling.

We put our heads down and tried to walk past them without any issues or unwanted conflict. They didn't let us.

We were stopped in our tracks by them. The boy second from the left told me in a threatening voice to look up at him. I did as he said, as fearlessly as I could, but was still extremely nervous.

"What are you guys doing?" He asked.

I told him that we're on our way to the new candy store that just opened. I finished off my sentence with a smile, to show them that we mean no harm.

"Aw, that's romantic." The 3rd boy said sarcastically. I just laughed along with them. Again, to avoid conflict.

The fourth boy looked at me, and spat in my face. "Fucking faggots."

My boyfriend's hand started shaking and his face went white. I realised that no matter how hard I tried to be friendly, they were going to hurt us.

I couldn't risk my boyfriend getting hit, so I told him that it's time to go. I still had hold of his hand, and I tried to push past the middle of the 4 boys. They still wouldn't let us go.

"Please can you move? We don't want any trouble." My boyfriend said.

"I don't think so. We don't tolerate queers in our streets." The second boy exclaimed. "You need to be taught a lesson."

I tried a second time to push past them, and still failed. The fourth boy lifted his leg and kicked our hands apart, before pushing me to the ground, leaving my boyfriend to stand and look at me. I was trying my best to keep back the tears, but my eyes were watery enough to stop me from seeing clearly.

My boyfriend took out his phone, presumably to call the police, and one of the boys slapped it out of his hand. Then punched him.

"STOP!" i screamed. None of the people nearby were doing anything. Just standing around and ignoring the entire situation. They knew exactly what was happening, but chose not to help us.

The 4 boys stood around me, spitting on me, kicking me, and calling me names. I just sat there in disbelief, trying to block out everything that was happening.

My boyfriend was on the ground behind the boys, crying. I was really hoping he wouldn't say anything, as I would rather myself get hurt than ever see him in pain. Unfortunately, he did say something.

"You fucking assholes! Leave us the fuck alone!" He yelled.

The boys took a break from hitting me, and turned around to face my boyfriend. I could tell they were a lot more pissed off than before.

"What the fuck did you just say to us, fag?" One of the boys said.

"I told you... to leave us the FUCK alone." At this point, I was terrified for what was about to happen to the boy that I love.

In my frozen state, I managed to let out a few words. I pleaded for them not to hurt him, and to hurt me instead. To kill me if they had to. To just please let him go. Obviously they didn't listen, and I was forced to watch what happened next.

The first boy stomped so hard on my boyfriend's fingers, that you could actually hear them break against the concrete. He let out a deafening scream, one that I will never ever forget.

The second boy was continuously kicking my boyfriend in the ribs, while the third boy was on his knees, punching my boyfriend's face. He was covered in so much blood at this point, that you could barely see any of his skin colour anymore.

I was beaten up and terrified, but I tried as hard as I possibly could to get up and stop what was happening, but I got pushed back down, and landed on my arm, fracturing it.

As I was crying at everything that was happening, the fourth boy started to do something that I will never get over. Something that still haunts me all these years later.

As his friends were stomping, kicking, and punching... he took off my boyfriend's shirt, unbuttoned his jeans, pulled them down, took off his underwear, his shoes, his socks, and threw them behind him.

The boy then stood up, unzipped his own jeans, and started pissing all over my boyfriend's unconscious, or possibly even dead, body.

I completely blacked out mentally at that point, stopped crying and just sat there, emotionless. Just totally in shock that our 10 minute trip to a fucking candy store has turned into this.

The boy that was kicking my boyfriends ribs, turned to me, dragged me up by my fractured arm, and he said "Go home, homo." And then pushed me along.

I didn't think twice, and I went home. Ignoring every person on the way there. I didn't even call the police at first. It wasn't until almost a full day laying in bed afterwards that I had the strength to even sit up.

I told the police everything that I could remember, as most of it was a blur. I couldn't even recall the 4 boys faces.

I assume they took my boyfriend's body and hid him somewhere, as to this day he still hasn't been found.

And believe it or not... neither have they.
