Chapter 1

~ Bailey's pov ~

It was just another normal day in school, me sitting in the cafeteria by myself with nothing else to do but listen to music.
"Oh look it's the loner." I heard Chris Linck taunt. I sighed. "What? Cats got your tongue?" He asked. He slapped me. "Answer me when I'm talking to you!" He said.
"Linck, leave her alone man. She's done nothing wrong." I heard Chris Fronzak say.
"Why are you now defending her, Fronz?" He asked.
"I should've always defended her but I never did." Fronz said. Chris rolled his eyes.
"You're growing soft on me." He said and went to walk away. "Oh and don't follow us." He said and walked away. Fronz turned to face me.
"You okay?" He asked. I nodded. He sat across from me. "You don't talk much do you?" He asked. I shook my head. He nodded.
"Why did you defend me?" I asked quietly. He looked up at me.
"For one, you have a beautiful voice. And two, I guess I had a wake up call and I don't like when guys act that way towards girl. I may be a self serving prick myself but I do have some respect for the ladies." He said. I nodded.
"Look, thanks for that. But that doesn't mean Chris is gonna stop. You more than anyone else should know that." I said getting up grabbing my bag. I smiled at him and walked out the cafeteria. The next thing I knew I was being slammed into the lockers.

~ fronzaks pov ~
I heard what sounded like a locker slamming. I looked at the table where the guys and I usually sit. I didn't see Chris sitting there. Dammit. I got up and walked out the lunch room and saw Chris beating the shit out of Bailey while people stood around watching. I pushed my way through the crowd. I pulled Chris off her. He turned around and punched me. I pinned him against the locker.
"Linck, touch me or Bailey again and I will rip your damn testicles off. Now get out of here." I said. I released him and he ran. I walked over to Bailey and saw she was barely breathing. "One of you idiots call 911." I said. Someone pulled their phone out quickly and dialed. I sat beside her and lifted her head and setting it on my lap. She looked up at me with weakness. "It'll be okay." I said. The paramedics showed up and put her on the stretcher. I grabbed her bag and followed them. I went to get in.
"Family only." The guy paramedic said.
"I'm her boyfriend." I said. They let me in. I got in and sat beside her on the seat they had in there. I sighed and the guy handed me a clipboard with papers on it. He handed me a pen. I filled out the form for her patient information. When I finished it I handed it to him. I only know so much about her because me and her used to talk a lot.

~ Bailey's pov ~

I woke up and saw I was in a bright room. I groaned and shut my eyes.
"You're finally awake." I heard a voice say. I looked and saw Fronz.
"What are you still doing here?" I asked.
"I wanted to make sure you were okay." He said.
"I'm fine." I said.
"Good." He said. I nodded.
"You can go back to school." I said.
"No, it's fine." He said. I sighed. "Why do you hate me?" He asked.
"It's not necessarily hate." I said.
"Then what is it?" He asked.
"Why the hell have you just now started seeing things that are happening to me now as bad? Why didn't you do anything before?" I asked.
"Like I said, I never really seen it before. And I'm sorry I've never stopped Linck till now." He said.
"It's fine." I said.
"No, it's not." He said. He grabbed my hand. I looked at him. "I have something to confess..." He said trailing off. I played with his fingers.
"What?" I asked. He bit his lip.
"I've had feelings for you since the first day I met you 3 years ago." He said. I looked at him.
"Really? How come you've picked on me the first few times when Linck started?" I asked.
"Because exactly that. I like you." He said. I bit my lip a little.
"I like you too." I said. He looked at me and leaned in. I leaned in.
"Oh, you're up. And oops." I heard the doctor say. We moved away from each other a little.
"Yeah I'm up. And it's okay." I said.
"Alright, well, you'll be able to leave tonight. We just need to run a few more tests. But you'll be fine." He said. I nodded. He left. I looked Chris.
"Well at least you can go home tonight." He said. I nodded. "Are you hungry?" He asked.
"A little. I didn't eat anything." I said.
"Want something? I'll go to McDonald's and get you something." He said.
"Oh no don't worry. I don't want you spending money on me." I said.
"Come on, I insist." He said. I sighed.
"No, I'm fine, Fronz." I said. He nodded.
"I just want to be helpful right now." He said.
"It's fine, Fronz." I said. He nodded and kissed my head.
"So, what about us?" He asked. I looked at him.
"Chris, I honestly don't know." I said. "Give me sometime to think?" I asked. He nodded.
"Yeah, fair enough." He said. I smiled and kissed his cheek.

Today has been a weird ass day.
