/ notes. so a quick background info to this tiny oneshot i wrote to kick things off : i'd like to believe norenmin in this oneshot are in a somewhat ambiguous relationship, somewhere between friends and soulmates and lovers. there's no plot whatsoever, just extensive descriptions, but i hope you enjoy 🥺

since day one, jaemin knew that he and jeno were soulmates. they were the two sides of a brain, the pairs of eyes and limbs on a body. two halves of a single soul.
but jaemin soon came to realise that renjun was the seam that held him and jeno together. renjun was what completes them. he made them not only one, but whole.
and jaemin learnsㅡover the eight years of knowing himㅡthat renjun loves violently.
he loves violently in his abrupt declarations of feelings between bruising kisses, in his playful wrestles when jaemin teases him, in his sarcastic remarks when jeno doesn't get a joke.
renjun loves violently in the way his fingernails scrape harshly against jaemin's skin, teeth sharp on jaemin's lip, hands gripping jeno's waist when he lowers himself slowly, agonisingly down onto him, using him, just taking and taking from them both till there's nothing left but bones and two halves of a bleeding heart.
but there is tenderness in that, too.
there is tenderness in renjun's eyes, in his gaze, when he breaks apart from the kisses, when jaemin gives half-hearted apologies after every scuffle with a shit-eating grin, when a pout blooms on jeno's face from renjun's remarks and renjun hugs him, holding jeno with surprising strength against his much smaller frame.
there is tenderness in renjun's gentle kisses of apology when jaemin gasps in pain, in his thumbs tracing soothing circles onto the soft skin of jeno's hip when he whimpers, always careful, always looking out for him.
renjun loves with rough hands and gentle eyes, with a sharp tongue and sensitive intuition.
renjun's love is contradictory, an antithesis in itself.
