The moon was rising from above I caught her eye and thought it was love But she turned her back, the sky went black And the circle starts again...

Guardian number one. Oh what a happy one he was. His smile was like the 10 suns of the eastern sky. No magic arrow could pierce it nor let it perish from the sky. Any dark day would suddenly be filled with light upon his presence. For years he has brought peace and prosperity to the mortals. No wonder people call him the "Guardian of the Sun." But he prefers his own name, Paul.

No part of the forest would be left unexplored with Paul on the move. No piece of land was ever to large for him. After all, travelling and bringing light thus far was what he did best. However, being the brightest on the outside didn't mean he had a dark soul inside... Most of the time was alone. The only thing keeping him company was the wildlife and mortal's beliefs.
He didn't like travelling alone. As they say the more the merrier but what happens when there isn't anyone else around(?) None of the other 5 guardians would travel with Paul. Each were limited to their own duties. In fact, it has been centuries since they last reunited...or so that's what the people say...

Even his "house" was lonely. No other "friend" to stay for a cup of tea or a sleep-over. So lonely it was in fact, that the flowers began to have a mind of its own and grow. Just grow and grow. Grow taller to try and reach the trees but never succeeding. They were what you considered "company" They varied from little daisies to towering sunflowers. And they were little homes for little creatures and pixies. They stored the belief...

However all is not yet lost. For our Sun Guardian knew how to communicate with those creatures. Every day when he would travel, he would talk with any that passed his way or merely followed him for curiosity. Often he would sing to them. Songs he would make up out of boredom. Songs based on the nature he would see. Songs he would imagine beautiful bagpipes like the ones you find in Scotland to be playing in the background...or perhaps a minstrel.
"I've been here for a million years Through the joy, through the tears But when I am gone this will go on And the circle starts again.
I've watched the mountains rise from dust Saw the gold return to rust I had cried when the oceans died And the circle starts again..."
As unbelievable as it sounds, he did see mountains as white as snow. Were they too part of this wonderland(?) Were they part of his imagination to seek entertainment through the nature(?) Was it just a playful mind trick(?)
The landscapes were beautiful. It was what you would imagine to see on a perfect holiday- just makes you want to take your camera out and take as many photos as you can. Mountains followed by golden rivers and their former, younger tributaries breaking through the soil. It was too good to be true, yet, people still believed it...
--------
"I danced through castles made of stone Walked the desert sands alone In the midnight hour you feel the power And the circle starts again..."
Even the creatures would think if his songs were just a trap to make them believe. Nobody ever stayed with Paul for that long to prove whether his words were a web of lies Or if they were actually true...
Even those who stayed with him for the longest never got to see. They listened but they never saw. But Paul didn't seem to mind...or did he(?) They never knew what goes on behind his sunshine smile. And perhaps they never will.
The last ever thing they would hear from him was a question Paul never found an answer too. Nobody ever answered him, nobody knew the answer. But Paul was still determined to find one...
"Now the question falls to you, my friend No beginning has no end Will we ever learn, will the world still turn, Will the circle start again?"
And then he was left alone once more with nobody to believe him...
