The four-year-old toddler stares at me with her round innocent eyes, and pouts. Damn you, Kim Hongjoong for passing on the cutest pleading pout to our daughter.
"Please mommy! Daddy loves it when I wear my ballerina tutu! And you too" Haneul cries without shedding a tear.
I sigh and kiss her forehead, standing up from her unicorn themed bed. "Alright, alright! But you take it off as soon as we arrive home, okay?"
"Okay, mommy!" and before I can say anything else, she's out of her room jumping like a bunny after food.
Here's the thing. My daughter loves visiting her father when he's working at the studio, especially on Fridays because he usually has new music to display for us – without the company knowing, that is. Considering that last night, over dinner, Hongjoong told Haneul that he was finishing the song that he has been working on the past two weeks, I could not expect the toddler not to wake me up from my two hour nap (if I'm being lucky) to take her to her father's studio.
Although sometimes being a full-time-mother/wife/lawyer was time-consuming, tiring and stressful, by the end of the day I wouldn't have it any other way. I was the happiest while watching my daughter interact with her father, exchanging giggles and smiles and looking at each other like they would do anything for one another.
I had met Kim Hongjoong when I most needed him. I was not doing well at the law firm I was working for, because as a just graduated lawyer, people could manipulate me and have it their way. Especially due to my not-so-strong-character. But just like that, the man who was destined to be my husband prevented me from jaywalking, and as a consequence, from dying as well.

'One more mistake and you're out, y/n'
What a beautiful way to start the amazing day that I was supposed to have. I sigh, frustrated with my life, with me, and with the damned coffee that was already cold despite the fact that I bought it fifteen minutes ago. And bitter. Great.
I stare at the message sent by my boss. My damned boss. Okay, y/n, just take a deep breath and walk three more blocks to the building, sit down on your desk and with a smile on your face, finish revising the contract that has to be ready by 5 P.M. or you will be fired. Just like that.
As I keep walking to cross the street, a hand grabs my forearm and drags me back to the sidewalk. So now someone's trying to kidnap me, awesome! The perfect way to keep my job.
