"Itachi, I told you to knock first!" He yells without even looking at my face. "Actually, I think I told you not to bother me!" I hear a bottle being thrown at the wall and breaking.
"It's not Itachi." I say before turning on the lights and facing a completely different Sasuke. His hair is all messy, his face is even more intimating and the room is filled with empty bottles and packs of cigarettes. "Sasuke... What happened to you? " My voice escapes weaker than what I wanted to.
"Sakura..." His voice softens as his eyes meet mine. I can tell he's pretty surprised to see me but he immediately composes himself. "What the hell are you doing here?" Sasuke mutters while his expression becomes serious again.
"I'm here to fight for us." I simply answer, getting closer to him but he raises his arm, stopping me.
"Don't get any closer." Sasuke orders firmly as he stands up. I watch him as he puts out a cigarette before speaking again. "I thought I made myself clear the other day, Sakura. We have nothing to do with each other." His back is now facing me and I can feel he doesn't mean any of that.
"Why are you doing this?" I start getting closer to him until we're only a few inches apart. "I know you, Sasuke. Just tell me what's going on." I reach for his hand but he quickly turns around, grabbing my wrists on top of my head. I feel him pushing me against the wall and his anger growing.
"I told you not to get closer..." He mutters this words as our eyes meet, letting me see how serious he is. "We're over, Sakura, so get that on your head."
"I can see in your eyes that you still love me as much as I love you!" I scream at him while tears run down my cheeks. "Stop lying to me and yourself! I thought we promised that to each other..." I close my eyes, letting more tears escape.
"I don't care about any of that! We're leaving to different countries so stop being annoying!" Sasuke yells at my face, showing me all his anger.
"Why are you doing this? Why are you pretending nothing happened between us?!" I scream back at him as I try to get free of his hold.
"I have no choice, damn it! We can't be together, Sakura!" He's starting to lose his temper and I can feel it.
"You either talk to me once and for all or I swear I'm going to find out everything I can about Madara on my own!" I finally gather the courage to confront him, looking deeply into his eyes. "And we both know you can't stop me."
"No! You can't deal with him all by yourself, Sakura!" Sasuke lets go off my wrists but we stand still. "You're not going to do anything." He mutters, giving me a stern look.
"Just try me." I know I'm changeling him but I couldn't care less. I want and deserve to know everything. "I swear Sasuke, if you don't tell me the truth right now I will storm out of here and figure it out. I don't care about your opinion, I just want to know why you broke my heart this way!" I yell at his face as tears roll down my cheeks. "I want to know why you're pretending that you don't love me anymore..."
"Sakura..." He lets out a sigh, laying his forehead against mine. "Why are you doing this? Why are you..." But I cut him off.
"Why am I fighting for us? Why am I being so annoying?" I look at him and a small laugh escapes through my lips. " Because I don't want everything we've been through together to be thrown away like that just because of a person like Madara. We always worked things out, from Karin to Kohana... And for me, it doesn't make sense to let all go away because of him." I explain myself with my eyes locked in his. "Before you even noticed me I had to handle so much bullshit and when you actually showed interest in me it was like a dream come true. I never liked you because of your physical looks or your popularity status. I started to like you because of you as a person. Sasuke, you have no idea how I felt when you came looking for me on the the girls' bathroom. I never thought you would ever do something like that for me and then..." I smile gently, without finishing my sentence.
"I kissed you." He answers without breaking the eye contact. "It was our first kiss."
"Yes. And after that day everything changed. I start getting to know you better and that's how I fell in love with you..." More tears start to escape from my eyes. "I never thought I could love someone so much but it's true. I love you more than anything in this world and it hurts me that you can't understand that and let me help you." I look away from him as my lower lip trembles. "I don't care about United States or Australia... I just want to be with you."
No words come out of his mouth, letting the silence fill the room. I'm trying my best to avoid more tears from falling but it seems impossible. All I want to do is cry and get rid of this pain. Sasuke isn't going to say anything, I know him well enough. But the moment I move my body, he ends up surprising me.I feel Sasuke's hands on my cheeks, making me face him and without giving me time to say anything, he kisses me. But it's not just a simple kiss, it's a kiss full of passion and regret. God, how I missed him. I kiss him back as he leads us to his bed making me fall under him. I start pulling his hair softly as he groans against my lips and his hands reach my thighs, squeezing them gently. We both break the kiss to get some air but his lips immediately meet my neck and I feel him making a trace of kisses there as I do my best to avoid moaning. Sasuke keeps kissing my skin and then makes a new trace to my lips, giving me a soft quick kiss. He turns us around and sits down with me sat on his lap as my legs hug his waist. Our eyes meet again, only this time his were softened.
"I'm so sorry." He starts to say and his hand reaches my cheek, rubbing it. "You have no idea how much I missed you."
"What happened to you?" I put my hands on his shoulders and bite my lip. "Why did you do this? And why don't you tell me what's going on?" Tears threaten to fall again but he quickly cleans them. "I want to help you, Sasuke... Please." But instead of giving me an answer, he pulls my body closer, hugging my waist and I rest my head on his shoulder. "Talk to me..."
"I promise I'll tell you everything. But first I need you to promise me something." Sasuke says, tightening my body against his and I nod my head. "No matter what happens... I want you to be safe." His lips connect with the top of my head and I close my eyes.
"I promise." I mutter before my tiredness takes the best of me. These past week I haven't sleep much since every day I had dreams with Sasuke. But now I can feel my body relax and let myself rest but not before hearing Sasuke saying he loves me.
Sasuke
I feel Sakura fall asleep on my lap so I immediately lay her down on my bed, covering her body with my unused sheets. Lately I haven't been sleeping properly and almost every day I end up on the floor filled with bottles of whiskey. I take a look at her as a small smile forms on my lips. I kiss her cheek, whispering a 'I love you' on her ear before looking around my room. Damn, I really let myself go this low.
I let out a heavy sigh and start cleaning up everything. I know Sakura was a little disappointed on me when she first saw me but I never wanted this to happen. I just hope she knows it. I open the window for some fresh air but keep the curtains closed so it won't wake her. Then I grab all the bottles and packs of cigarettes, heading to the kitchen to put them on the trash. I head back to my room, turning off the lights and closing the door, and walk to the living room. I need a plan to destroy Madara once and for all.
