"So your sure you want to move?"

"Uh huh"

"Today?"

"Yep," I said proudly, popping the 'p." I would Finally be able to get my own place and leave this horror town.

" where?" Adam asked, still stunned by my sudden announcement of moving.

"I," I grabbed one of the heavier boxes from my old bedroom door entry, grunting. "Told you. It's a surprise. If I told you now, you'd come over, and see my house without my unpacking. And NO, you can't help me unpack. It has to be 100- percent me." I paused to put the box in the trunk of my car. " your coming over in a week. I'll give you directions then." I stated firmly.

" Is it far away?"

I thought for a moment. " not, really, no, just about fifteen minutes."

Adam sighed. " why can't you just move in with me?" He asked upsettingly.

I set down one of the boxes, and looked at Adam, with a very desperate look as if to say " I don't want to explain this again" but I knew I was being unfair.

" I just," I sought for the right words to his question. " I can't really deal with living in this town right now.. On this street.... And it's not you. You know that."

" it's not me." Adam repeated, with a hurt look and it coming out more like a question.

" yes, it's other things and I've already told you, I don't want want to talk about it." I paused for a moment. " you know I love you Adam." I said reassuring him.

"I just don't understand kaylee. If you love me, why can't you move in with me?"

" look, if you didn't live where you did, I might've considered it." I said quickly, now frustrated with how immature he was acting.

"Might"

"What?"

" you said might've. What if I moved out? Someplace... Away from here. Then you might consider it right?"

"I don't know, Adam. I don't want you moving out of a house you've lived in your whole life. The house you were raised in. Your parents wouldn't want you give that up. They built it."

" My dad is dead and my mom is in a mental institute. He said numbly. I would move out for you and I.....For us. And besides, I don't want to live in a place that you won't even come near anymore."

I thought for minute, thinking about everything and processing the whole conversation we'd been having for the past ten minutes.

" maybe." I said quickly and began to walk back to my house to get another box. I snook a glance at Adam quickly enough to see him quietly say "yes".

"Where are your parents? It's a Saturday, I thought they had off today." Adam asked while we walked into my formal room.

"They do. They're down the street at a friends"

"Ohh," Adam said nodding his head slowly. "Here, I've got it" Adam said, grabbing the box from my hands."

" only two more
