After sitting in the waiting room for what felt like hours, Hyunjin had grown impatient. Chan hadn't come out of the room yet and no doctor would give him the light of day.

"What the hell is going on in there? Would someone please tell me if my girlfriend is dead or alive?!" He sobbed into the air. Jisung ran to him and hugged him close, tucking the older boy's head into his shoulder as he sobbed.

"We'll know soon. They'll tell us soon, Hyunjin-ah. We just have to be patient. Please sit. Come on." Jisung said softly to coax Hyunjin into a chair. He whimpered as he covered his eyes with his hands and hunched over in his chair. He needed to know what was going on.

After a few more minutes went by, Chan finally came out of the room. He looked tired and disheveled but he didn't seem distraught.

Hyunjin stood up when he saw them, bombarding his leader with questions.

"Is she okay? What about my baby? Please say something!" Hyunjin begged. Chan held up a hand and he started to speak.

"She'll be alright with time. They're doing some tests to see if the baby is okay but they said it's not looking good. Hyunjin, I'm so sorry. She might have lost it." Chan said sadly as he relayed the news. Hyunjin's heart sank at the news of the death of his child but he was relieved to know that (y/n) was going to be okay.

"Can I see her?" He asked, trying not to cry.

"Not right now. The doctor said only immediate family. Once she wakes up, you'll be able to see her. Just know that she's alright. She'll make it." Chan said with a soft smile to try and reassure him. Hyunjin sighed and nodded before sitting back down. He sniffed as he thought about the life he could've had with (y/n) and their unborn child. He was heartbroken. He felt guilt and an unbelievable amount of grief. His baby was gone. It had to be. The damage was too great.

After a few more hours, the doctor came to them.

"I have an update with the fetus' vitals. We were able to pick up a heartbeat along side the mother's. The baby is going to be okay. Any damage will heal as (y/n) heals." At those words, Hyunjin let out a sob of relief. He cried into his hands and got up to hug the doctor.

"Can I please see my girlfriend? I can't wait until she wakes up. I need to see her." He begged. The doctor nodded and led him to her room. Hyunjin walked in and sighed sadly at the sight in front of him. She was wearing an oxygen mask and there was a belt around her abdomen to monitor the baby's vitals. He walked close to her and placed a hand on her stomach before leaning down to kiss it.

"You're so strong already. I love you so much. From this moment on, I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." He said softly to her bump. As he spoke, he heard shuffling in the bed. He looked up and was met with her beautiful (y/e/c) eyes.

"(y/n)! You're okay. How do you feel?"

"Really sore. Oh no! The baby! Is my baby okay? Doctor!" She started to panic before Hyunjin stood up to grab her hand.

"Hey, it's okay. Our baby is fine. They were able to find a second heartbeat. They're safe. I promise." Hyunjin said softly as you sighed and nuzzled into him.

"Thank god... I was so worried. I could feel them stop moving, I thought I lost them." She whimpered. Hyunjin kissed her head and held her hand tighter.

"I did too. Don't worry, baby. Everyone's safe and JYP is gone for good. We're gonna be okay." Hyunjin said softly as he stroked (y/n)'s arm.

  "Where's Chris?" You asked.

"He's in the waiting room. I'll go get him." Your boyfriend said before leaving the room.

"Chan. She's awake. She's asking for you." Hyunjin said as your brother ran into the room.

"Hey, cupcake. Are you okay?" He asked worriedly as he wrapped both arms around you gently.

"I'm okay. Baby's okay too. Just really sore." You smiled as he kissed your forehead.

"Good. I'm so relieved that you're okay." Chan said as he started to calm down a little bit. Life was going to get better.
