Stolen Part 3

After many years of being in a deep depression, Laura decide to get out of the house. The only problem with that was the fact that she really only had drugs on her mind. It's as if all she could do was keep going over and over in her mind everything that had brought her to this point. She was angry, bitter, and most of all she was lonely. She felt like she was just unlovable. Maybe she was, but either way, she only wanted to feel nothing.
Once she made it over to someone from her past who also used drugs, that's where she met Jay. He seemed nice, but her friend Shauna warned her about him. Shauna got a real bad vibe from this guy. Of course, he sweet talked Laura into getting into his car. It was the worst mistake she could've made but she didn't have a clue how messed up things we're about to get. Come to find out, Jay already had a girlfriend.  Somehow he talked Laura and his girlfriend Marci, into being in this three way relationship. Since Laura was smoking crack by now and drinking heavily. She was going to do whatever Jay told her to do.
One day as they were driving home, they saw this girl who was surrounded by more than ten guys. She was crying and they were all just walking down the street. So we asked if she needed a ride. She got in and said that someone had taken all of her clothes and pissed all over them. Jay told her that it's okay because we will get you some more clothes.
Not twelve hours later he talked the 18 year old girl named Candy into selling her body on the street for money. He told her that it's the only way for her to stay with us because she had to pay her own way. Only a few days went by and she had only made about fifty dollars, so that's when he began the beatings. Not only Candy but Laura also began to be brutalized by this wannabe pimp. He really thought that he could make these girls do whatever he wanted by beating the sense out of them.
So it wasn't long before Candy wanted out. Laura felt that if she could help get Candy out then she could make her exit as well. It took some serious risk for her to get Candy out of there without Jay realizing it. But as it happened, on that very day, he had brought another girl into the circle. This girl was only 15 years old. Laura needed to leave this sadistic fuck but now how could she. This girl still hadn't seen the violent side of Jay yet, but she would if Laura did get her out. A few days later, Candy called Jay and told him she was sorry. She wanted to come back.
Jay made Laura and Cindi, the fifteen year old, get into the car later that night. The girls had no idea what was about to happen.
As he drove up to a fast food chain, they saw Candy come running to the car. Jay acted as if he was going to do something big for her return.
He drove them all down to a nearby lake and told Candy to go with him. Laura and Cindy got out and stayed near the car. Ten minutes went by and they got tired of waiting, so they went walking up to the place they saw Jay and Candy go. The horrific scene they walked up on was more than either of them could handle. Cindi took off running back to the car. Laura froze as she realized that Jay was stabbing her friend Candy, over and over and over. All the blood, she could smell it. Candy was still alive and began running toward the lake. But by the time she got there, he was right there and he kicked her over the side of the embankment. Jay was in such a frenzy that he hadn't yet noticed that Laura was watching all of this. She still was frozen in place, as Jay walked up to her and punched her in the face so hard that she could feel her teeth being smashed and broken as they were cutting into her lips. It took her a moment to get up and when she did he began dragging her by her hair toward the car.
As he drove, he screamed at her and told her how lucky she was that he had dropped the knife in the lake on accident. Cindy was shaking in the backseat. She wondered what the hell she got herself into.
Covered in blood, all he wanted to do was find a place to change clothes.
The next day, Jay had to be in court for a DWI that he had gotten a month before. He kept his eyes locked on Laura and Cindy. But for some reason they were to scared to say anything to anyone. It would take Laura getting pulled over by the police a month later before she could even speak of what happened.
As soon as she saw the cop, she told him to please arrest her. Or just make it look like she is getting arrested because she knew of a murder and needs to speak to a detective. He placed the handcuffs on her and took her away. Then they pulled over at a Shell Station where a Homicide Detective was waiting to pick her up. That's when she broke down and told them everything.
Jay was arrested without incident during another traffic stop sometime in the next few days. He claimed to the police that Laura or Cindy must have murdered Candy out of jealousy. It was another year before he would even go to trial.
But to face this monster in court was something neither Laura or Cindy wanted to do. They did because they knew they owed it to Candy. She didn't deserve this nor does anyone deserve to be stabbed to death over nothing. The trial took only a week. But Laura and Cindy helped convict Jay. He was sentenced to 30 years to life. Personally, it wasn't enough for the women who almost didn't make it through that gruesome evening.
