POSSESED

Chapter 1-The Beginning

        "Hey Lacey!" I shout.

        "Kaelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Lacey shouts across the courtyard.

        I run over to my best friend Lacey. We havent seen each other for a month because over the summer she went to Europe with her family. I ask her about the trip, then we hear the bell ring. We run as fast as we can to the audotorum for the first day assembly, not wanting to be late. I slip into a seat just as the principal apperes. 

        "Hello students, welcome back." The principal says because this assembly is just for anyome over freshman. The principal goes on and on about the rules. These are the same rules from Hollywood Elementry, just 2 new rules. We sit there but everyone perks up when she says there are new rules. 

        "Due to some circumstances," she starts as she glaires over at the boys, "there will be no toilet paper fights in the bathroom." The boys shout booooo, because they are trying to oppose.

        "The second new rule is about parking, this only applies to the students with cars," she starts, I sit up because I need to hear this, "In the small side parking lot we will have a few passes that students can get to park." She goes on, "students who wish to park there must get a pass due to limited space, for the main parking lot there is no pass needed, to get a pass you have to come to the office and it is first come, first serve."

        I glance around the adutorium, looking at the determined look on peoples faces. There is one thing I will get and that is one of those passes. After the assembly we go to our first class with a 10 minute passing time. My first class is righ next to the office so i slipe in and get a pass. Lacey waits for me in front of the room.

        "Did you get a pass?" She questions, because she always rides with me, except for today.

        "Does it look like i got one?" I say as I pull the pass out of my purse.

        "You got spot 1! That's the best spot!" She says excitedly

        "Yes," I reply, "oh no we better get to class."

        We walk to class. The rest of the day continues boringly. After school Lacey hopes in to the passenger seat of my car and we head to my house.

        "Mom were home," I shout through the house.

        "Ok, I'm in the kitchen."

        We head into the kitchen, grab food and leave, running up to my room. We pop into Lia's room to say hi but she isn't there. Its weird she normally  is sitting on her bed on her laptop. I see a figure slip into the closet. Oh well, she probably needs something. Me and Lacey head to my room. We talk and do homework. Suddenly I see Lia slip into my room and crawl on the floor to my closet. I figure she just wants to get some paper Ill check when she comes out. I see her crawl out with my diamond heart necklace. I ask her why she needs it and she responds with I need to give it to her. I demand to know who "her" is but don't get a reply. Like any good friend Lacey holds Lia down while I take the necklace. Lia just shoots me a look and runs off. 

        "What was that about?" Lacey asks.

        "I honestly don't know, Lia has been acting weird for a while now."

        I walk over to my radio and turn it up. We start singing all the songs, like anyone would. Lacey had to go but she would be back in the morning for a ride. I wave bye as she walks 5 houses down to her house. I turn around and see Lia.

        "Lia you scared me," I say but somethings not right, I see her floating a good foot off the ground. I kick the area under her and wave my hand above her, no strings. Her eyes turn blood red  she looks at me and says "Kaela, I need your heart." I look at her confused and run up to my room, grab the necklace and put it on just in case she tries to take it again.
