Gelo's pov

She was a family friend so of course she came over here but she was here and she wouldn't talk to me. I watched as she played with melo's new pug. We called him Nutella. He was a creamy chocolate color. He licked her face and she laughed. I loved her. I can't get her out of my mind.

Zara's pov
He was watching me and it was taking  everything in me to just focus on Nutella. LiAngelo was changing and I had wanted him to do that but not fall in love with me. But his creamy smooth skin and pink lips and tattoos and green eyes. I finally looked up and locked eyes with him. It was a comfortable stare. I exhaled and looked down at the dog infront of me. I don't know how to love. " Zara you okay?" Melo asked as Nutella ran to him.  I put on a fake smile. "I'm fine Mel" I said. He didn't look like he believed me. He just looked like he would leave it alone.

I looked up and Gelo wasn't on the couch.  We heard a thud in his room. I was the first to sprint up to his room. He held his bloody fist as I looked at the bow cracked mirror . "Fuck. Fuck" he said . I realized he had glass stuck in his palm. "It's okay Gelo. I'm going to go get-

"Don't leave me please " he said his green eyes looked so vulnerable. "Ok." I sat down his blood getting on my top. I didn't care. "This is gonna hurt" I said. Melo and Zo came in the room. "Damn G " Zo said  looking at the blood. "Keep him quiet if dad come up here it's over " Melo said . So I did the only thing I could I kissed using my free hand to caress the side of his face. "Ohhhhh". Melo exclaimed .

"I knew it !" Zo said. I ignored their comments and pulled the glass from Gelo's palm he bit my bottom lip.  I pulled away. "So y'all to-

"Melo just get the first aid kit". I sighed not wanting the questions right now. He ran into the bathroom and Zo left us alone.  Gelo started crying. I didn't even know he could cry. "I'm sorry" he whispered.

"Gelo baby. It's okay. Your okay. We're okay" I said kissing his forehead. Melo gave me the bandages and I bandaged Gelo's palm. After I took off my top and chose a shirt from his closet. "Stay over" he said.

"LiAngelo. My dad" I said. He shrugged. "We can watch movies." He said . I smiled. He's so precious. "We can go get some snacks at Walmart" he said excitedly. I laughed. "Okay G" .

So he grabbed my hand with his good one and went to Walmart. I drove and he got snacks. As soon as we went to this room we had to be careful so his dad wouldn't catch us.

His dad didn't know and I neither did mine.

The movie started we were watching Bambi since I never watched it as a kid. LiAngelo laid behind  me.  His bare skin touching my back. His arms made its way around my waist pulling me close as he intertwined our fingers. " So beautiful. He whispered in my ear causing me to shiver and push myself back on him. He groaned. "Sorry" I whispered.  I turned my face and kissed him his hand slithered down to my thigh as he drew circles on it slowly. He inched closer to my shorts.  As he got closer my core got wetter.  I felt him pulled my shorts down. I kicked them off. He pushed my underwear to the side and I felt his warm member slide into me. "Ughhh" we both said at the same time.

After——-

"Your so beautiful " he told me.  Then I fell asleep like that.

I woke up to someone throwing ice cold water on us. In front of us was his dad. "Gelo you better have an explanation. You could be with anyone else but you wanna be with this sorry excuse of a young lady" he said. I looked at my drenched shirt and shorts on my body. "She's NOTHING!l he said and I don't know why but I began to cry. Gelo looked at me and said "I love her if you can't understand that than I won't live her" he said .

"Then leave!" His dad said. And that's what he did. He left and ended up on my doorstep. My dad opened the door. And I explained eveything to him. He looked disappointed that I had disobeyed him. But Gelo was my everything I couldn't just leave him.

"And you guys been together behind my back" My dad said. We nodded. "Lukie why are you even conversing about this . Your daughter is being a hoe  and screwing  around with your rivals son". My dad's girlfriend said.

I slapped her. I slapped her so hard it felt good. Gelo choked back a laugh. My dad told her to leave. "Are you guys having sex?" He said as if the question were a bad taste in his mouth.  We looked at eachother and nodded.

"There's an extra guest room down the hall Gelo" my dad said rubbing his face and then going in the kitchen.

Gelo leaned in for a kiss but I dodged it. Always some type of trouble with him. I went into my room and replayed the things his father said to me. Was I really nothing? I couldn't be. Gelo loved me. If I was nothing he wouldn't love me.

There was a knock on my door. " what Gelo" I said wiping my tears quickly . "I love you don't listen to my dad ".

Luke walton's pov

I couldn't believe she would disobey what I have to say.  Zara is beautiful just like her mother and I know her beauty can attract bad guys and I see LiAngelo as one of them. He's part of the ball family. Nothing good comes out of that family if it doesn't involve basketball. My daughter was a game that you could play she was. I looked in her door from the crack and seen Gelo sitting in her bed there was a distance between them. She seems to like him but I just want to see why.

"Zara Walton. I love you..." LiAngelo began. All I know is that he better not be proposing. "I'll wait for you to know your feelings I know you have been broken and I know it's not easy for you to love. I know everything has been hard since your mom passed away. But everything about you drives me insane. Your so beautiful and your so honest and loyal. The way you care for your dad is something that I look up too. Your dedication to the sport he loves. And I know you went against his wishes to date me. I know he may hate me but I'm willing to work on that because I do see you in my life" he said his voice cracked. A grown man crying over my daughter. Now that's something new. Well, not really, she has made a lot of her boyfriends cry.

He brushed her hair away from her face. They better not kiss. Some kind of way I liked Gelo for her. He was quiet not like the rest of his brothers and his GPA was definitely way higher. He was conserved but protective. I could see by the way he stared at Travis earlier today when he made a comment about Zara's appearance.

"Gelo. I like you a lot. Just give me time. I'm new with this relationship thing. At least with a real one" Zara said. He nodded and leaned in to kiss her and that's when I barged in.

They jumped apart. "So-

"Mr. Walton. I understand if you want to kick me off the team because I'm with your daughter but I won't stop seeing her. She's the reason why I pick up that basketball and go to practice every morning she's the reason why I didn't ever give up on the game. And I love her" LiAngelo said looking me in my eye. "Respectfully sir" he added at the end. I ran my hands through my hair.

"You can stay the night. Get some rest . We got a team to beat" I chuckled. "Welcome to the family Gelo" I said sticking my hand out to him and he shook it. I looked at Zara and winked. She smiled.
