Typical Night

Animals sleep as a deep night falls upon Zootopia. However, two noteworthy animals, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are nowhere near falling asleep, Judy maybe a little. They were in hot pursuit of an animal who had just stolen five thousand in cash. Of course, other officers were helping stop him, but Judy and Nick were what was keeping him from pulling into some warehouse.
"Going down 42nd," Judy spoke into the radio to other officers working their hardest to trap the thief. Nick was focused entirely on driving as his cool mind allowed him to make quick decisions even in hectic environments such as this.
A different police car pulled straight in front of the getaway causing him to swerve in to an alleyway. He was trapped. Nick pulled in to block the car from exiting the alleyway backwards. Nick muttered, "Carrots, be on guard, he may have a gun." Judy nodded as they slowly crept into the alleyway. The car's doors were still closed. Nick crouched to the driver side door. Judy was on the passenger side. They both opened up their doors at the same time. Immediately a shot came from the back towards Nick. Judy immediately shot back. A scream of pain. Judy looked over to Nick who was holding his arm, "It grazed me, I'm fine." He whispered. They both looked in the back seat to find a white tiger holding the left side of his chest. Ambulances had pulled up by now and a gurnee was on its way down the alley.
Nick sat on the end of an ambulance, about to be taken to the hospital. Any amount of damage was a ticket to spend the night in the hospital. "This city never learns, does it?" Judy said.
"I mean it keeps us paid." They both laughed. "I know we planned on on doing a one year anniversary since we solved that case but we'll have to cancel. Sorry."
"Cancel?! We can do it tomorrow! It doesn't have to be an exact day. It was more of an excuse to just have a fun time."
"Calm down, fluff tail, I was joking. Yeah, we can go out tomorrow." Someone in a medical outfit taps him on the shoulder. "I think my bus is leaving, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye!" Judy waved to the leaving ambulance then turned around to drive the police car back to the station and from the station to her apartment in her car. The tiredness Judy had suppressed during the chase was slowly coming back and the thought of collapsing on her bed became ever more inviting as she drove on.

No one is going to actually read this story but I love Zootopia and want to write this. Would love feedback and grammar corrections, sorry it's a bit short, I promise to make them longer but this was a kind of introduction chapter.
