Patton and Virgil were walking around the neighborhood at noon or early afternoon to take a break from the work they were doing. They were talking about a cafe Virgil had found for them to hang out at since the old cafe they went to got shut down. As they were walking, they passed by a flyer. Patton stopped walking to look at the flyer.
"People needed to play childhood games! Whoever joins gets 100,000 dollars. Call ***-***-**** if interested," Patton read out loud, as Virgil walked back to him. "We should join, Virge!" Patton said with excitement.
"No," Virgil started firmly. "It's very suspicious that there's a flyer to play games with a bunch of strangers," Virgil read the flyer over Patton's shoulder. "Like, why don't they just ask their friends?" Virgil asked.
"But what if they have no friends, and they're really lonely? And it could be fun! There's also a good pay for joining, that could help us pay for our student loans," Patton said, pointing to where on the flyer the reward was written.
"Yeah, I guess. But they could be trying to murder-" Virgil got interrupted.
"Come on, Virge! It'll be fun, safe, and we'll-"
"Be able to pay our student loans. Yeah, I know."
Patton ripped off one of the phone numbers cut-outs from the flyer. "How about we go to that cafe you were talking about?" Patton asked. Virgil sighed.
"Yeah, let's go," Virgil said, not putting up a fight about the flyer. Once Patton made up his mind on something, nothing and no one can change it.

Logan was listening to Roman as he talked about this guy he bumped into while he was at a coffee shop today. Roman described him as a ball of sunshine, which Logan said was not possible in any way for a human, as humans cannot be balls nor sunshine. Roman rolled his eyes and said not literally specs.
"How about instead of talking about the emotion of euphoria, and how a bunch of chemicals gets released into your brain, which includes dopamine, adrenaline, and norepinephrine which causes how you are feeling right now, Roman; a feeling of an addictive rush," Logan said in a monotone voice, "you tell me what this mystery guy looks like."
Roman looked extremely confused.
"I have no clue was you said in the first part," Roman said with the same confused look plastered on his face. Logan sighed, annoyed.
"It seems as though you already have very strong emotions for this stranger you bumped into today," Logan said, trying to dumb it down for Roman. Logan was very well annoyed with Roman, seeing as the latter falls in love with people way too easily. "Do you remember his appearance?" Logan asked.
"He's not a stranger. And yes, I do remember what he looks like," Roman said to Logan sassily. Logan had a small smirk on his face and raised one of his eyebrows.
"Oh, really?" Logan asked. Roman nodded his head. "Alright, then... How is he not a stranger to you, and what does he look like?" Logan asked as he pushed up his glasses.
"He has blond hair, baby blue eyes, cute round glasses, and his freckles across his cheeks are so adorable," Roman said with a dreamy sigh. Logan simply nodded his head.
"So, you kind of explained what he looked like, but how is he not a stranger to you?" Logan asked.
"I had a few classes with him while we were in college. I never really talked to him except when we had projects to do together, or when we had to discuss with the person next to us about the lesson. But he's not a complete stranger to me," Roman explained.
"So he's an acquaintance to you? An acquaintance is a person you know slightly, but you're not a close friend of yet."
"I know what an acquaintance is, calculator watch," Roman said, annoyed that Logan thought he was that stupid. "I'm not that stupid."
"I never said you were stupid, Roman. I simply thought you didn't know the definition of what I was talking about, as you seem to get confused with things a lot," Logan explained in a more monotone voice than before.
"Whatever." Roman rolled his eyes. "How about we go to that cafe you talked about earlier this week?"
"I guess, I've only been there once. I think you'll really like the theme, Roman," Logan said as he started to lead the way. Roman followed Logan, till he saw a flyer. He grabbed Logan's arm.
"Logan, look!" Roman said, pointing to a flyer that was stapled to a wooden pole. Logan started walking to look at the flyer with Roman. Roman read what the flyer said, and after he finished reading he looked at Logan. "We should join it, Lo! It could help the situation we're in right now. It could help pay our student loans, I know how much you've been complaining about them. And when we're done with the games, and we get the money I'll let you do as many experiments you need me to do for whatever you're trying to do," Roman said, trying to convince Logan into joining. Logan sighed annoyed. "Please, join me, Logan!" Roman begged.
"Fine," Logan said, as he took one of the numbers of the flyer. "But only if you agree to what you said earlier," Logan said.
"I promise" Roman said. Logan sighed and nodded his head.
