Most of the world's population has built a stereotype about teenage girls in high-school; Bitchy, pretty, boy-crazy. Oh.. and horny.
Well Yvie wasn't what you'd call your "typical teenage girl". Ever since she was little, she was always thinking outside of the box. She wore bold makeup that most girls her age would shy away from wearing in public; but Yvie did it without a single care in the world about what other people around her may think. She also made her own clothes in her free time, and sometimes would even wear those creations to school to show them off. But the kids at Yvie's past schools always made fun of her outfits, and would call her names. There was actually this one time in middle school when these three girls cornered Yvie in the girl's restroom and pulled her by her hair to the ground and tore her outfit up before running out. Yvie would've told on them, but she didn't really get a good look at who did it.
This wasn't a one-time thing though. Unfortunately Yvie was bullied most of her life in school. If you asked the people who bullied her why they did it, they would say a plethora of things: that she was a freak, an outcast, homophobic slurs, etc. But the most common thing people called her was "Odd". The kids at her school even gave her the nickname
"Yvie Oddly".
Her parents were fed up with the school not doing anything about the fights, name-calling, and bullying, and took her out of that school. They quickly were able to find another school to send her to though, which Yvie was very unhappy about.D A Y : S U N D A Y
T I M E : 9 : 5 2 P . M .Tomorrow was Yvie's first day at her new highschool, and she was scared shitless. She didn't feel like going through a whole new round of students that will most likely bully and taunt her.
"Please mom, please don't make me go! I'd rather be homeschooled! I'll do all my homework at home, I'll even help around the house just please!" Yvie begs her mom.
"I'm sorry sweetie, but we already told the principal you're showing up; plus your dad agreed to drive you. You have to face the world someday, honey."
"God, Fuck this!" Yvie says, throwing her sketchbook at her bedroom wall before grabbing her hair in her hands and tugging at it in stress.
"Yvangeline Bridges! Language!"
"Sorry, mom."
"I understand your pain, honey, trust me. You know I would homeschool you, but you also know your father. He wants you to socialize and get out there. Plus it would be nice to get out of your little personal bubble, wouldn't it?"
Yvie sighs. "If you say so, I guess."
"Oh it's getting late, it's best you get some sleep soon."
"I'll try but i'm not making any promises. I love you, mom."
"I love you too, baby. Now do try and get some rest. You've got a big day tomorrow."
