Chapter 1 written by the amazing Im_a_human06!

Here's the plan. We're going to alternate between writing the chapters.

I looked at the sands of the beach as stood with my adopted son and daughter, Frost and Hope. I had found them next to a cave where I stayed for shelter, and out of out pity and compassion, I took them in. I thought of their mother, who probably was a selfish jerk and felt like they needed a proper childhood and home, so I took them in. 

I sighed as I thought of the one person who I longed for but I couldn't be with due to a selfish person. Guy. He stole my heart in a second and broke it in the next as he chose the girl that hurt me and broke me just for him, Eep. I felt my heart shatter when he chose her. 

 I felt a small soft hand wipe my face of the tears that I didn't know I shed. I looked down and smiled softly to my eleven-year-old, Hope. I smiled at the thought of how much she had grown. "Hey mom," she asked looking up at me as I looked down at her soft hair. 

"Yeah honey?" 

"Why were you tearing up?" Hope asked. I sighed as I looked out to the sun. 

"I just miss someone." 

 Frost scoffed at me. "C'mon mom! We all know that you're crying because Mr. Guy left you." I rolled my eyes at the 14-year-old. 

"Son, wait to you reach that stage of love." I chuckled as he blushed profusely. 

Hope laughed at my joke until Frost teasingly chased her and started to tickle her sides. "You May be my sister, but that doesn't make you less of a victim to the tickle monster!!" I heard Frost joke as he ran after her even faster. I shook my head while chuckling to myself as I imagined what would've happened if Guy chose me over Eep, while continuously looking at the sunset.
