Patton knew what this meant. He was no longer Happy Pappy Patton the most lovable light side. Now he was Gloomy Doomy Patton, one of the scariest dark sides.

"How are we supposed to tell Thomas I won't be at any of the conversations anymore then? I can't go to them, I'll just persuade Thomas into bad things!"

Patton was visibly freaking out.

"Patton, calm down. The fact that you're scared like this means you haven't fully transitioned over yet. You're still you're old self for now. That's a good thing. You did a pretty convincing act. Except when you were obviously annoyed at Roman." Virgil said, for once being the one to lift the spirits in the room or at least try to.

"But what if I never transition back, can I stop this transition? I don't wanna leave you guys! Please help me, Virgil, please. I'm scared." Those last two words sent Virgil over the edge apparently.

"DECEIT!" He screamed. "GET IN HERE BEFORE I DRAG YOU HERE MYSELF!"

Deceit showed up, smiling before looking around.

"Virgil, I'm just loving the changes to your room."

"This isn't my room." Virgil responded through clenched teeth. "This is Patton's room."

Deceit looked confused until he saw Patton.

"Ah my old friend has arrived again for another visit."

"What? Old friend? Deceit, we've never been friends."

"No, I don't mean you, Morality, I mean Depression.

"Depression isn't here right now. Sorry, but it's still Patton for now." Virgil said, venom practically dripping from his voice. "Now how do we stop this?" He asked gesturing to Patton.

Deceit let out a light laugh. "Simple. You don't."

"No, I will, I just don't know how. "

"Virgil, darling. I'm telling you. You can't. Just like couldn't stop you going to the light sides."

"No. There has to be a way. There has to. Thomas can't lose Patton. I can't lose Patton. Not now. Not ever. We need him."

"I mean, do you though? All I ever seem to contribute are my stupid dad jokes no one likes. I'm never helpful. Maybe it's a good thing that changing."

Deceit just smiled.

"Patton! Stop, you're letting Him get to your head. You're sweet and adorable and you're the only one who can control all of us. You're the glue holding the light sides together. Of course we need you. Without you, Thomas would be in a constant state of anxiety because fighting between Roman and Logan. Also you've made both of them at least slightly more tolerable. Patton, you are amazing and perfect just the way you are and I. I love .... you." Virgil said, hoping some of it, any of what he said would help the situation.

"Well, I can't say this hasn't been nice, but we need to show you, my friend, to our little mind palace. You'll love it or hate it, either way, you're coming." Deceit said, grabbing Patton's handst and disappearing from the room.

Virgil let out a sigh and rejoined the others in the living room, shaking his head sadly. Thomas,  of course didn't understand, but Logan and Roman got message.

"Well is he okay? At least?" Roman asked, hoping to lighten the mood.

"I'm not sure. He's with the others now. Nothing we can do about it." Virgil replied.

"The others?!?" Thomas asked. "Who is? Where's Patton? What's going on?"

"Thomas, not now please, the three of us need to form a plan." Virgil said, as him, Logan, and Roman sunk out and appeared in Logan's room.

"We need to get Patton back." Virgil started. "Otherwise, who knows what he'll do to Thomas?"

The dark sides mind area was scary, but cool. The only light came from flickering candles and whole area seemed to go on forever. The floor was covered entirely with mirrors for some reason, giving Patton a constant reminder of his new look. The scariest part was probably the fact that he was alone though. Alone with Remus and Deceit.

But the longer he satyed, the more it grew on him. After just a few minutes, Patton felt just as comfortable in this area as he normally would've in Thomas's living room.

"Ah, Patton, welcome, dear friend." Remus appeared from a shadow. "And what occasion might this be?"

Patton just laughed, "I'm here for good now. I'm one of you." He smiled as he spoke.

"Oh goody! Now we can have some real fun!" Remus said, clapping his hands together excitedly.

Before he knew it, Patton was being dragged around and shown all through Remus's and Deceit's rooms. Soon he was having fun and messing around and just having a grand time with his new friends. Friends who truly accepted and cared for him.

He figured he'd like it here, or at least it wouldn't be so bad. His other friends only cared about him when they knew they'd lose him. They weren't real friends. Deceit and Remus have been nothing but nice and caring since he joined them. What was the point in rejoining the light sides? They wouldn't accept him back anyway.

His decision was final, Patton would stay with the dark sides. They were friendly and they accepted him with welcome arms. Could he say the same about the light sides? Who constantly hated on his jokes, ignored him half the time, and just made him feel more and more out of place. Except...

Except they had made him a birthday cake. They had let him stay that long. Virgil had tried to keep from leaving. But do these small acts make them worth going back for? Can he afford to lose his new friends to go back to those who made him feel bad?

Plus, Patton didn't have nearly as much work to do here, he could sit back and relax and choose to do work when he felt like it. Seriously, he could just be himself and relax.

He was definitely staying, but he also wanted Thomas to know where he was. He figured he could pay a nice visit tonight. Shake him up a little.

That would be fun.

A/N - sorry if this is moving too quick. I'm not good at writing.

Anyway hope you liked it. If not, then go well. I'm sorry I guess.
