You open your eyes to sunlight shining in through your window, and a maid waking you up. "Kim Y/N.." the maid woke you up by calling your name. "Kim Y/N. Please wake up. Your father is calling you.." she said with a shaking voice. "Tell him I'm coming" you told her. She left immediately to go and inform your father. Why has father asked for me to be woken up so early? You thought. You get out of bed and head towards the shower, to get ready to meet your father.
After getting ready, you head downstairs. "Good morning, father" you greeted him with a respectful bow. "Good morning, Y/N" he replied, "I have great news for you." He rarely had any news for you, so him having 'good news' was very surprising. "I would love to hear it father" you told him. You were eager to know what he had to tell you, so early in the morning.
"Kim Y/N. You're getting married."
What?! He is getting me married off to someone I don't know. You didn't say a word and just stood there, shocked. He's serious. Your thoughts were spinning in your head at 100mph. You couldn't find words to leave your mouth. You were surprised.
You weren't happy. Yet, you weren't mad. All you wanted was to feel loved. Ever since your mother had passed away, you didn't know what that felt like. Your father was always workings or on business trips, so he never had time for you.
"Pardon?" You finally figured out how to get words to escape your mouth. "I have found an amazing man that will treat you wonderfully. The Park family is ready to take you as their daughter-in-law. Isn't it wonderful?" Your father spoke about as if it was nothing. You felt as if he was sending you away. "Father?" You said, almost fighting to send the words to him. "Why do I need to marry?". He was astonished, that had the nerve to question him. "What do you mean 'why'? This will help the family business." You were angry. Not at your father, Not at the man you were going to marry, but yourself. You had many chances to find someone who truly loves you, and doesn't care about money like all the greedy business people your father's friends were. "I don't want to marry, father. I want to find someone I love." You told him what you felt straightforward. You never were brave enough to tell him what you truly feel. "Kim Y/N. I signed a contract for your marriage into the Park family." He said it with such a harsh tone, you knew he meant it.
"What do I do now?" was the only thought in your mind. You gave up. You knew fighting with your father will only hurt you. Your father was very powerful. Plus, maybe it won't be so bad.
. . .
You slid the dark blue dress over your shoulders and put on a pair of matching shoes. You were ready. Ready to meet the man you had no interest in meeting, but you had no choice. You walk down the elegant staircase of your home, and are escorted to the car, by a butler waiting at the door.
Once inside the car you settle down. It will be a long car ride to the Park family residence, so decide to just put on earphones and listen to music until you get there.
A long car ride later, you get out of the car and see a beautiful estate. You seem to be at a list for words once again, but two words manage to leave your mouth that is hung open in awe. "It's beautiful." you say, knowing you mean it. You walk inside and the Park family butler is waiting for you at the door to escort you to the living area, where you will meet your fiancé.
"Miss Kim. Welcome" Mr. Park stands up to greet you. " Hello sir. Thank you for welcoming me into your home." You bow respectfully, only thinking about how you don't want to be here and how you are putting on this act for your father's greediness.
A boy that is sitting on the couch rolls his eyes. You guess that he can tell it's an act. "Park Jimin, greet your future wife". Mr.Park scolds his son, but hear none of it. Your mind is lost on the words he had said. 'Future wife'.
"Welcome, Miss Kim" the boy said, "my name is Park Jimin". "Hello, Park Jimin" you said and left to sit on the couch.
. . .
The day of the wedding:
You stare in the mirror at the white dress you were wearing, but wish you wearing it for someone you love and not 'Park Jimin', a guy you only met a few times. You and Jimin had agreed that you'll both divorce after two years, and that you would have an open relationship during the time you were married. You were glad he was understanding, but he seemed sad when you both had made the divorce agreement, though neither one of you signed anything to make it official. You father, and his parents didn't know about the agreement, but you thought it was better that way.( I'm not giving you the whole ceremony, but I'll give you a photo of the marriage hall, so you can imagine it)
