Eventful afternoon

Kakabalik lang namin ni Jennie galing sa free period namin, ngayon ko lang nalaman na kaklase ko pala siya sa tatlong susunod na subjects ko. How embarrassing that I didn't even know we were classmates. Ganun ba talaga ako careless para sa mga kaklase ko? To be honest, since gradeschool kami ni Rosé never paid attention to people who we were not interested in, tulad na lang ng mga bullies namin, I don't really care about them, parang hindi sila nag-eexist sa akin. Jennie's friends who I have met earlier were also cool and welcoming. Parang hindi ako iba sa kanila. Sayang nga lang at kailangan na namin bumalik sa school dahil nga may klase kami. These were the thoughts I had as Jennie and I walked across campus, watching her walk at the corner of my eyes, ewan ko ba pero napaka-ganda nya when she walks. Para siyang anghel na nag-gaglide sa sahig. Aysh! Lisa! Ano ba yang pinag-iisip mo tungkol kay Jennie! My mind berated me, Jennie must have felt me looking at her dahil bigla itong nag-salita at sinabi sakin.

"I know maganda talaga yung butt ko. Pero bawal mong pag-masdan." Jennie said.

"Ha? P-paano..." utal-utal kong sabi sa kanya na agad naman nyang siningitan.

"Huy! Biro lang. Ang tahimik mo kasi. Kanina ang daldal mo tas ngayon sobrang tahimik mo na." Tatawa-tawang sabi ni Jennie sa akin.

Shit! Akala ko alam nyang tinitignan ko talaga yung butt nya. Tumawa na lang din ako sabay sabi sa kanya.

"Wag kang nagpapaniwala sa mga guys sa school, yung iba sa kanila gusto ka lang buntisin tapos nun hindi ka papanagutan. Hindi maganda yung butt mo." I said laughing at her.

Sabay hampas naman nya sa braso ko at tinitigan ako ng matalim.

"Ang sama mo talaga sa akin." She said as she walks ahead.

"Hey, binibiro lang kita eh, pero seryoso yun, your butt is not the only beautiful thing about you, your eyes are more beautiful than your butt. Your eyes are very expressive." I said to her.

"Bolera talaga. Halika na nga at baka malate pa tayo sa klase natin." She said as she pulled me with her as she briskly walked towards our classroom building.

I let her drag me along, eto ata ang unang beses na papasok ako sa klase na kasama ang resident nerd ng klase. Jennie is someone you shouldn't underestimate, she knows a lot of stuff, noong nakaraan nga magkalaban kami sa Math subject namin, isang puntos lang ang pagitan namin to top the class. I remember her now if you'd ask me how ever I was not bothered by the competition inside the class rooms, madalas na kasing gawin yan ng mga prof namin, kaya I learned to just do my best in each class, save for English Literature, I'm not really a bad student. I think there is something in Miss Jandel's voice that I find her subject boring altogether. Baka din sadyang hyperactive lang kasi ako, kaya ganito ang sinapit ko sa English Literature. Once we reached our classroom, people where already there, they all looked puzzled when they saw me and Jennie walk into the classroom, Jennie holding my hand and dragging me behind her. Rosé and Rabbit was not in this class, dahil broadcasting ang major nila.

Nagtitinginan ang mga kaklase namin ni Jennie, she sat at the center of the room sa third row. We were seated beside each other. She smiled faintly at me as she sets down her bag in front of her seat and brought out her binder. She pulls out her phone and her earphones, she scrolls through her phone at pagkaraan ng ilang segundo, she gave me the other pair of her earphones and said to me.

"Listen to this song." She said smiling.

"Sige nga, tignan natin ang taste mo sa music." I said to her.

She played an unknown song and once she did, I recognized it was her original. The beat was sick as she sang and rapped. I was soon bobbing my head to her song, parang gusto ko gawan ng choreography ang song nya, it was a bop song to be honest.
