The Buoyant Jelly Bean

Arryn Ellsworth lay on her stomach, chewing on her pen and pouring over 'Hogwarts: A History'; ever since her mother had broken the news that they would be moving to Surrey, Arryn did nothing but research about the Wizarding school in Britain. As she read, she wrote down important aspects of the school. So far, this was her list:

Many secret passageways

4 founders; Helga Hufflepuff, Salazar Slytherin, Godric Gryffindor, and Rowena Ravenclaw

4 houses named after surnames of founders

nothing about sorting ceremony

current headmaster is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

anyone is eligible for quidditch

There were only two things on that list that made her want to go; the passageways (which she would no-doubt be exploring in every ounce of her free time) and Quidditch. Except for the fact that she would have to get a flying tutor (in Ilvermorny, they had to wait until 3rd year to learn how to fly, where as in Hogwarts, they learned to fly first year).

She checked her calendar, which was hanging on the wall, and saw that it said she was leaving in one month. She would then have two months to adjust to England before she went to Hogwarts. She didn't want to leave.  There would be so many things she was leaving behind: Her Ilvermorny friends, her home, her room, her microwavable ramen. Though there were also things she was excited for: The sorting ceremony (hoping for Gryffindor), meeting new people, the house cup, the quidditch games.

Her feelings about moving could only be described as like a buoyant jelly  bean popping up and down in a pot of boiling water.
