No Good In GoodBye

Chapter 9

Rebecca's POV

The date night was just amazing and I think I might have misjudged Jason, he can actually be nice. Well you know what they say, 'Don't judge a book by its cover' and that's exactly what I did and I misjudged him when he was actually very nice.

Today is his parents charity event and I don't have any clue what to wear and what to not.

Jason was a total gentlemen last night and when I thought I made a mistake accepting his offer, I was wrong. It was actually very cute to see him jealous of other guys. Ethan was always cool towards any kind of attention I used to receive from guys which was sometimes really frustrating because sometime guys just used stare at me like I'm some kind of clown but nevertheless Ethan is gone and gone for good, I guess. 

I called Jerry 3 times today but he did not receive my calls and neither did he call back and it's scaring me.

Oh God, please let him be ok.

I know he is a jerk and a total psycho but he is all I have here. I tried calling him again and it directly went into his voicemail. I tried calling his brother but he was busy in some meeting. Praying to God for Jerry; I went back to my work.

After an hour of work, my office phone started ringing but I was too busy to complete the papers I was working on that I didn't even glance at it let alone receive it.

The office phone started ringing the third time and at last I picked it up, "ADP Houses, this is Rebecca Black," I said to the person on the other line of the phone.

"Becca, it's me Jerry, why were you not picking up your phone?" Jerry said "Jerry, oh my God, how are you and why were you not picking up my phone and I was busy compiling the last editing so I didn't pick it up," I said in a rush.

"Ok, well I dropped my phone in the pool and now I am phone-less and using the cordless to call you. Smith's secretary told me that you called so I called you as soon as I received your message. You're alright,right? " he said with a nervous chuckle.

I exhaled out "I thought something bad happened to you that's why you are not picking up my phone. Oh God, Jerry you scared me and yes I'm totally fine. When are you coming back?" I told him.

"Aww, Beccy Beccy was worried for me? for me? aww Beccy I'm sowwy and I'll try to get back as soon as possible mommy," he said in childish way and I just chuckled at his behaviour.

"Ok, but next time Jerry will not get lolly if doesn't behave well and mommy is waiting for his baby," I said to him. 

After talking with Jerry for approximately 15 minutes I went back to compile my work which was eating my brain.

I still have to decide what to wear tonight and to be honest I was very nervous for this event, after all Jason's parents will be there and I have to make a good

expression.

The work finished and I hailed a cab to go back.
