Welcome, author here to inform you of a few things before the adventure starts.
The idea of the scales being matchmaking charms comes from an anime, if you don't know what it is then you might want to check it out. It's from Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun, episode one.
I use Merpeople but I'm not going to write something that ressemble The Little Mermaid. No sea witch, no pain for the tail to change into legs and all that. I'll explain how it works in the story itself.
I'm not sure if the reader is going to be a merman or a neko because I like the two ideas so I might write two stories in one. Aka one where the reader is a merman, the other a neko.
Not sure about it yet.
This story will start only after I finish my first book so it should be in a week or two.
Anything else will be in the story itself.
