Chapter 18

Author's POV

Well after Nicole went to their hut. Eyeless Jack went to Neil's room where he saw the letter Nicole wrote. He read the note and putting back to Neil's hands.

'She'd be crashed if she knew Nicole left her' he said to himself.

E.J. didn't notice he is falling for her, he stared at Neil because he is worried. 'What if she knew that you've started to feel a little care for her?' He thought. He shook his head, 'What am I talking about?' 

He was about to walk away when Neil woke up, "E.J.? What are you doing here?" Neil said in a morning voice. 

"Ahm... Just my... Night check. Looks like nothings going on here I better -" He was cut off when he heard sobbing. She looked at Neil, he was shock, first ever he saw Neil cry. 'Is...She...Is she really crying?' He asked himself.

E.J. didn't dare to talk, he was scared of what he might say. He doesn't know what to say he doesn't have a great relationship with his brother, to start with.

"E.J... Am I a bad person?" She said changing the sobs to real words.

"What? No. Why did you say that?" He replied.

"Then why is this happening to me?! I should be the one who needs to be in jail!for being a bad sister!" She said throwing the crumpled letter on the floor. As she continued to sob.

E.J. Slowly sat next to her, still didn't know what to do or what to say. But in one moved he made Neil stopped crying. He hugged her, Neil stopped crying she was now shocked. She looked at E.J. but E.J. stopped her head from looking at him putting his chin on her head.

'First time in my life, when he hugged me I feel safe. Just like when my sister hugged me. I feel safe with him' Neil started to sob again but this time on E.J.'s black shirt. 

"She's not coming back E.J., She left me." She said.

"I know, but don't worry I'm here to take her place and I promised her that I will take care of you" He said. 

She just stayed on his chest, and slept on his chest. 

When the morning came, E.J. didn't see Jane's body anywhere. But he did heard a glass broke. 

"Hey! Hey Neil! What are you doing! Stop it!" Jeff said yelling. E.J. quickly stood up and rushes outside. But they weren't there. 

He now went to Jeff's room seeing Neil attacking Jeff. As Jeff dodges her knife, "Neil! Stop it! That's the past now right?!" He said. 

"Who?! And no! Let me go!" She said sounding a little more aggressive than ever. 

E.J. Locked her where her wrists are held behind her. She tries to break free. When the others went to the room.

"What's wrong with you!" E.J. said.

"Hey! What's all the commotions all about!?" Slenderman said. 

"Neil is acting weird! I woke up she's in front of me with a knife on my neck! THAT'S MINE!" Jeff yelled at Neil. 

"What's Wrong with you..." Slenderman paused when he read her mind. "You're not Neil" he said. 

"what?" E.J. said then look at Neil. 

"She's not Neil! She's back to being Jane." Slenderman said.
