Starmoon's POV

Father had sent us on a hunting group. My brothers had already caught a crow and mouse between them and we planned to get some more. I watched as my brothers had both picked up a scent. The two stealthily stalked towards the crow they saw. The bird heard them and flew up, my brothers were too slow to leap up and get it, so I leaped over them and caught the bird.

"Hey! I was gonna get that!" My brother, Flamefur and Firepelt said at the same time. I rolled my eyes. I was a silver-white female wolf. My brothers were both ginger red with opposite spots. Ginger like Dad. We don't know where we get our silver from, and if we even mention our mother, our father gets upset. No one talks about her. I asked Rosa, our healer, and she avoided the question by sending me off to find an herb.

I looked around me.

"I don't recognize this piece of territory," I told my brothers who stopped arguing to looks at me.

"Where are we?" Flamepelt asked us.

"I don't honestly know," I replied as Firefur shook his head no. I smelled the air around me. Nothing smelled like the forest.

"You there! Stay where you are!" a large, brown male called down to us from a rock. he skillfully leaped down with several dogs following him.

"Who are you and why are you on Soft Wind territory?" a female grey wolf asked. We crossed the border! Flamepelt's mouth fell. He quickly closed it.

"They have prey," a younger gold male wolf said. The wolves parted as one specific wolf walked through. Willow. Alpha female of Soft Winds. I had only ever seen her at Howl Meetings. She was beautiful and strong. Her light grey fur danced in the wind.

"Thundertail, thank you for pointing that out. You three, however, will come back to our camp Struck and I will decide what to do with you there," Willow said.

We started the journey to there camp, with my head hung in shame.
