Clato: a love story

Let the Hunger Games begin!

It's the day of the games. Am I nervous? No. Am I prepared? Yes! Of course I am! I get out of bed and see my outfit lay out for me. I put it on and Cato walks in.
"You ready?" Cato says.
"Of course I am!" I reply.
We walk down to the rooms where the workers are. We each get one and I have a man called Cinna. He seems really nice and has actually tried to help me get trough this. We walk to the room where the tubes are. And he shows me my jacket as he helps me get it on. He shows me my special knives are in there and he put a badge on a part of my jacket. It's a mocking jay. I smile at him ready to do this. I'm sixteen and I'm ready!
"Team up with the careers, especially Cato", cinna says.
"Why Cato?" I ask.
"I see the way you look at him," he winks.
There's a long pause.
"If I could bet, I would bet on you." Cinna says.
"Thankyou", I smile.
The countdown starts with 20 seconds.
I walk over to my tube and climb in it. I smile at Cinna as I go up. Light appears and I look at the clock on the cornucopia.
'10, 9, 8, 7'
There's only 6 seconds left and I'm already stood in my stance ready to kill and fight. I turn to Cato who is just as ready as I am. '3, 2, 1 go!'
I run straight to the cornucopia and find a bag, I look in it and look up to see where Cato is, he killed someone. I grab the bag and attach it to my belt. I run off and throw a knife into someone. I killed them. I throw a knife into someone else. I killed them too. Eventually, it was just us careers left at the cornucopia, everyone else ran away. I run over to them and it's already night. We see a fire and go investigate. We get to the fire and see the district 8 girl. We laugh as we approach. Cato hands Glimmer a knife and she kills her.
Soon after, we carry on walking. And laugh. It goes Mavel, me, glimmer and Cato. Glimmer turns to Cato and starts laughing with him.
"Oh no, please don't kill me", glimmer cries in a joking manner. Cato laughs with her. I totally don't feel jealousy run up my spine. We find somewhere to chill for a bit while Marvel goes to investigate. I hate third wheeling. Cato and Glimmer start joking around. He grabs his sword and blows on it and Glimmer laughs. They just left me throwing knives into a creature. It's really sad but I guess I have to deal with it.
"Hey guys! I found fire girl!" Marvel shouts. We all get up and rush to the trees where she is. We're all laughing chaotically.
"Come on girl on fire!" Cato shouts.
"That's not gonna help you up there Katniss!" Glimmer shouts.
"Where you goin?!" I shout.
Katniss is still up the tree.
"Why don't you throw the sword?!" Katniss shouts back.
"Or why don't you wait me out. I have to come down at some point don't I!" Katniss adds.
"Okay. Somebody make a fire", Cato says.
It's eventually night time and the fire is almost out. We're sleeping and Glimmer lies on Cato's arm. She's killing me! So I lie on his leg while Marvel chills in the back.

I'm the morning, glimmer looks up at her surroundings and falls back asleep.
A branch falls down with tracker jackers attached to it. Me, Cato and marvel run off and hide while glimmer falls down and can't get back up. She screams and screams until eventually.. the cannon shot can be heard. Glimmer is dead.
The three of us that are still left keep walking talking about winning.
'Rule change. Only two people from the same district can win, good luck'
"Well that's sucks," marvel says.
Marvel falls down with a stick in his head.
"Foxface!" I shout! I run over to her, jam my knife into her and run back to Cato. Two cannon shots can be heard in the distance.
"It's just us, thresh and fire girl Cato... we could go home", I smile.
"We could", Cato smiles back.
